Human-centered design is a practice where designers focus on system users' human needs. Cognitive science and usability engineering expert Don Norman sees it as a step above user-centered design. Its four principles are people-centered, solve the right problem, everything is a system and small and simple interventions.

A human-centered design is an effective way to listen, empathize, and address learning needs. As learning should be student-centered, their participation and voice should count in the process. But, I think there should still be a continuous improvement on this type of activity to continually address changing needs and preferences.

The activity made me listen and reflect on the learning needs which are beyond my discipline.

Human-centered design is applicable in constructive alignment and in designing teaching and learning activities. Student feedback is necessary for the process to ensure that the activities address their learning needs.

Human-centered design assures that the output/product will engage the target population by considering their needs in the design. It promotes the delivery of a good experience among the product/output users.
