The protagonist, "Mike Bastian" takes one of the troublemakers out with his fists but the other one he had to shoot down because he was already drawing his gun. The he smooth talked his way out of getting in trouble by the sheriff. I would have done the same thing because I wouldn't want to get hurt or arrested.

And she made a bad decision by not telling her dad because she was embarrassed about her dad being a bug exterminator so she didn't tell her dad about the call and so her dad didn't meet with her principal. I would've taken it to my dad or called him instead of not telling him and missing it.
