Before Chase fell of his roof and got amnesia, he was a big bully. In fact, he was so mean to one person that they had to leave the state. It was Shoshanna Weber's twin brother Joel. Ever since that Shoshanna hated him. After chase fell and got amnesia he started being nice and even joined the video club. Chase and Shoshanna ended up working on a video project together and Shoshanna saw how nice chase was being to her and everyone else and started liking him as a friend and she started hanging out with him. When Shoshanna first saw Chase she dumped her yogurt on his head and he got a bad impression of her. While Chase and her are working together he started seeing the real her and they actually started being friends. Then they started doing a lot of things together. Shoshanna and Chase's new relationship has grown so much from when Chase first got out of the hospital and even before that. Near the beginning of my book, Sophie and Robert were complete strangers thrown together into a mess they couldn't begin to comprehend. It was very tough for them to move on and they got into countless arguments but eventually they made up. You could tell in the beginning that their relationship was more of an iffy one, where they didn't even know each other. But soon enough, they started to open up to each other, being in the heat of the moment. Although they still didn't know each other very well, they started to get comfortable around each other, which formed a trust. That trust blossomed into a friendship. But you could tell from the book that the main character, Robert, obviously wanted to be more than friends even though he didn't know what it would bring. You could tell from Sophie's perspective on the situation that she also liked Robert a little bit, but was very nervous because her life had been mostly full of heartbreak. 
One thing led to another and they started to become more than friends and started to act romantically, staring into one another's eyes and being more playful. Somewhat of a makeshift romantic relationship had begun. Although I'm not at the end of the book, I believe that they will be going on a date or at least seeing  each other more often. 
There relationship was the story of two strangers thrown together with dire circumstances, uneasy and afraid. They started working together and warming up to each other giving birth to a healthy romantic relationship, although it could go south. The clues in the text don't show this, but there relationship could be in danger if they don't make it out of their situation alive.
