I can build my self-efficacy through by reducing stress whenever I faced some difficulties or challenging task so that in that way, I can focus on the task without having too much stress.

Based on the video I have just watched, the benefits of taking part in this competition able to help boost the participant confidence and able to pay their hard work of practicing the Rubix cube. "Is taking part in this competition worth after years of practicing?" Yes, I agree with the statement of mine as I believe that no matter how much they fail or discouraged with the results they received. They will not give up and continue to put time in effort into practicing so that they are able to improve their skills instead of giving up and losing hope of themselves. I will now explain on how it benefits them by taking part in competition like the one shown in this video.

Firstly, the benefits of taking part in competition helps to boost their confidence and even if they fail, it does not define them as a failure but putting a lot of time practicing in it will help them to improve their talents or skills they have.

Secondly, they can make friends with different competitors and encouraged one another to not be discouraged if they lose.

In my personal experience, when I was P6, I took part in Skipping competition as I was part in a school team...
-I felt discouraged by it as a leader itself, I should be able to do it with no difficulties and I was worried that we might lose because of me, and I do not want to disappoint my whole team and school.
-believe that if i keep on practicing then I might be able to get it.
-I try not to be worried too much as it can affect my skills and not get distracted as well as I should believe in myself.
-proceeded to the Nationals skipping competition.

In conclusion, I have already discussed the benefits of taking part in competitions and do not let your negative thoughts controls you as well as believing in yourself and put your mind into it so in that way you are able to focus and helps you to improve your skills.

1. I can build my self-efficacy through/by: Paying attention to my Emotions or my thoughts as my mind may be stressed out and i may think i can just “shrug it off” thinking i can just manage it on my own without help though tough situations.

2. I can build my self-efficacy through/by: Celebrate the success i have scored instead of “biting myself” by saying “Oh you knew how to do this question how could you not know? Your useless/dissapointment infront of your family and friends!” Instead i should focus on the improvement i have made.

Q1 Planned response

There are tons of benefits of taking part in competitions as they allow you to seek your passion. People usually ask what are the benefits of taking part in a competition.I will be sharing 3 benefits.

Firstly, One of the benefits of taking part in competitions is to be able to chase your passion with this so-called “spark.” And this “spark” would help you to keep chasing that passion as there are people that are contributing to the “spark” allowing yourself to never give up on your passion.

Secondly, another benefit is “Passion” which gives us a purpose in our own lives. It makes us feel like we are on a path to success which also gives us hope for the future.

Thirdly, people who join competitions usually have a certain competition they would like to join. If I had the choice to pick i might take up a competition that is about gaming as I would usually be at home playing games non-stop.

In conclusion, taking part in a competition can be very beneficial to some people as they usually have a dream to follow and would not stop even though their families disapprove of their dream. But at the end of the day they would have finally achieved that dream.

I can build my self-efficacy by believing that all my hard will not be for naught through believing in myself.

(PART 1)
There are many benefits of taking part in competitions as they allow you to seek higher results. This begs the question, what are the benefits of participating in a competition? I agree to a full extent that participating in a competition can make you strive for a higher result than before. I will now share 3 points.

Firstly, The benefits of competing serves to increase their confidence, and even if they fail, it does not label them as a failure; nevertheless, putting in a lot of time practicing will enable them to better their abilities or skills.

Secondly, another benefit is that you can learn some skills that are useful and applicable in competitive matches such as sportsmanship and teamwork which are important when you play with others.

Thirdly, competitors who join competitions usually have a certain gaming category that they would like to join. If I had the choice to participate in one, I would definitely apply for a competition about gaming as I would routinely play online games.

In conclusion, participating in a competition may indeed be very beneficial to most individuals since they can learn new skills, apply them in their daily life, and develop their sport or passion. They may even be able to realize their ambition if they rehearse and use it during a competitive or friendly game. Even if they lose, they may pick themselves up and progressively develop by studying and improving by avoiding and repeating the same mistake, finally achieving their goal.

I can build my self-efficacy through... challenging myself with difficult tasks that allow me to put my abilities to the test. This allows me to push myself beyond my comfort zone. Instead of focusing on my personal feelings, I'll concentrate on the situation so that I can solve it. Even if I run into a problem, I will not lose faith in myself.

Planned Response:
There are many benefits that can be reaped from taking part in any type of competition. This begs the question, are the benefits worth it? I agree to a certain extent with that statement. I will be sharing 3 main points regarding this question.

Firstly, instead of being couped up at home watching TV or just living a sedentary lifestyle, youths can take part in competitions. They can compete in any type of competition so long as they enjoy it.

Secondly, core values such as resilience and perseverance can be implemented in their everyday lives as life is challenging and there are ups and downs along the way. They can also indulge themselves in knowledge regarding the competition they are competing in.

Thirdly, speaking from personal experience, I have competed in many sports in primary school. Since I was in athletics, I participated in track and field, shot-put and even went to the international league.

In conclusion, there are many benefits that can be accumulated from simply participating in a competition. It may be hard to find the passion or thing that you are good at, however, this is a fine excuse to try new things so you can find that one thing in life that will help benefit you.

I can build my self-efficacy by creating a strong sense of self-belief because when I succeed at something, I am able to build a powerful belief in my ability. For example, during my football CCA, if I am able to carry out what my coach asked me to do and I succeed at it, it motivates me even more that I can do it knowing that I have a strong sense of self-belief.

Planned Response:
There are a lot of benefits that you can acquire when you take part in a competition. I myself have taken part in competition such as representing my school for National School Games in the Football category. This question arises, are there benefits in taking part in competitions and are they useful? I agree to a certain extent with this statement. I will share 3 benefits of taking part in a competition.

Firstly, taking part in a competition gives the ability to someone to build mental toughness. Mental toughness is a trait where it determines your ability to perform under pressure. It is a benefit because during a competition, you are watched by many people. This gives out the pressure to the competitors as they do not want to dissapoint them and instead make them proud.

Secondly, it builds discipline. Taking part in a competition requires alot of practice and training. Competitors can build discipline by being dedicated in their training. It will be instilled in them after some time as there will be no one to ask them to train or practice and they have to keep the momentum up and they cannot give up because the results in the end is waiting for them and that is why discipline is important.

Finally, it is a true test of your skills. A person can attend countless classes, honing their skills, building different skills so why not put all of that to a test in a competition? Competition is a great way to see where you are lacking on so that you can begin working on them.

In conclusion, There are many benefits people can gain when taking part in a competition. Competition to me is a true test to see if you worked hard for it or not. The results may differ people to people based on their dedication and work ethic.

I can build my self-efficacy through acknowledging my success, observing my mentors, getting positive feedback, and practicing positive self-talk.

Part 2(a) Take a long view. Taking a longer view and relaxing our expectations a little, helps to decrease discouragement. The reality is that most things that are worthwhile take alot of time and effort, so be patient. There is no such thing as failure, only education. Instead of thinking failures are bad, we can think of failures as education. When we view it this way we realize that failure is not something that is bad or needs to be avoided, it is a good learning point for us and it can ease discouragement

Part 2(b) no, i believe that succeeding is very important and should be a goal that an individual should want to strive towards, but it is not always critical for one to succeed. It is fine to celebrate success but it is more important to learn the lessons of failure. In order to succeed, we first need to face some obstacles and setbacks to build a path towards success. By learning from our mistakes, the chances of succeeding in the future will gradually increase. Additionally, failures in life are important and essential to have as they are stepping stones for us to succeed. Plus, if you can recover from a setback, it will give you more confidence and inspire you to work harder for your goals.

Part 2(a):Failing at something we want to achieve can be a discouraging experience. It can leave us feeling demotivated, frustrated, and even hopeless. However, it's essential to realize that failure is a natural part of the learning process, and it's something we all experience at some point in our lives. It's how we respond to failure that can make all the difference. In this speech, I'll be providing advice to people who get discouraged easily once they fail in the things they want to do.

Firstly, it's essential to reframe our mindset about failure. Instead of seeing it as a negative experience, we should try to view it as an opportunity for growth and learning. Every time we fail, we have the chance to analyze what went wrong, learn from our mistakes, and come back stronger.

Secondly, it's crucial to remember that failure is not the end. We should not give up on our goals and aspirations just because we failed once or twice. Instead, we should use our setbacks as motivation to work harder and smarter towards our goals.

Thirdly, seeking support from others can be helpful when dealing with failure. Friends, family, and mentors can offer guidance, encouragement, and a fresh perspective on the situation. It's crucial to surround ourselves with positive people who believe in our abilities and are willing to support us through our failures.

Lastly, it's essential to focus on the journey rather than the destination. Instead of solely focusing on the end result, we should enjoy the process and the small wins along the way. Celebrating our achievements, no matter how small they may be, can help us stay motivated and focused on our goals.

In conclusion, failure can be a discouraging experience, but it's essential to remember that it's a natural part of the learning process. By reframing our mindset, not giving up, seeking support, and focusing on the journey, we can turn failure into an opportunity for growth and success.

part 2(B):

The pursuit of success is an essential aspect of our lives. Whether it's in our personal or professional endeavors, we all want to achieve our goals and reach our full potential. However, the idea that we must succeed all the time is a notion that I don't agree with.

Firstly, the pressure to succeed all the time can be detrimental to our mental health. When we set unrealistic expectations for ourselves, we may feel anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed, which can lead to burnout and other mental health issues.

Secondly, the fear of failure can prevent us from taking risks and trying new things. If we only focus on succeeding all the time, we may avoid challenges that could lead to growth and development. Failure is a natural part of the learning process, and we can learn valuable lessons from our mistakes.

Thirdly, the idea of success is subjective and can vary from person to person. What one person considers a success may not be the same for another. It's crucial to define success on our own terms, based on our values, passions, and aspirations.

Lastly, it's important to recognize that success is not a destination but a journey. We may not always achieve our goals, but we can still learn, grow, and develop along the way. It's essential to focus on progress and improvement rather than solely on success.

In conclusion, while success is an essential aspect of our lives, I don't believe that we must succeed all the time. The pressure to do so can be detrimental to our mental health, prevent us from taking risks, and limit our growth and development. Be resilient and do not let the negative thoughts or failure fail you.
b) I would say it is not that important to succeed all the time, as it can affect your happiness or mental health but different people have different expectations or the standard they set but do not let your egoism or overconfident affects you. On the other hand, I also think it is important to succeed when it comes to certain things like studies or the interests that they are interested in. It can make them be more confident and happier as it can provides us great inner satisfaction when succeeding and in that way they are able to achieve their goals to succeed or something they want to accomplish.

The advice I would give them is how they can improve instead of just giving up so easily. I would know as I have failed many times before and when I was on the brink of giving up. My family and my teachers have tried to push me back on track, giving me their all to help me understand and giving me the opportunity to reach the Pinnacle of achieving success.

2b) Yes. Although succeeding is important, it is an Uphill as there might be some issues along the way on the path to success and people usually just give up after one failed attempt. But people should not give up their hopes and dreams as they can learn from that mistake even if you can’t get it right the first time you shouldn't let that hold you back. If you do, you might not achieve that particular dream but if you keep trying you can be much more proficient and learn from that previous failure and can focus on improving from where you started to fall you will be able to surpass that failure. You can easily achieve success.

planned response
Many people have wondered about whether competitions has any benefits that are worthwhile and this begs the question, what are the benefits of taking part in competitions. I fully agree that there are many benefits in taking part in competitions. I will now share three benefits in taking part in competitions.

Firstly, it can boost self confidence. By competing, you are showing the world that you believe in yourself and your skills. It also proves that you are okay with whatever the outcome may be. You know that win or lose, you have learnt something from your experience. It helps you to get over the fear of competing and makes you want to compete more. Once you experience your first competition, your next one would not be as bad. You can also prepare better for your next competition and fix your game plan based on the strengths and weaknesses from your previous competition. Winning also boost your self confidence. After all the hardwork and preparation, it finally paid off and now you want to win more and compete among the best.

Secondly, It gives you a goal to aim for and competitions are one of the solution to this problem. By acknowledging that you want to compete, it means that you have set goals for yourself to achieve. Competing will put your skills to a test and push you out of your comfort zone.

Thirdly, Learning from your losses from your competitions. When you put in so much effort and hardwork but still lose, it can may make you very frustrated and angry. Instead of being angry, look at the positive side from the experience. Learn from the mistakes you made, work on the mistakes and make sure they never happen again. Because in the end, You will learn far more from your losses than you ever will from your victories.

Spoken Interaction:
(a) I wholeheartedly concur with that statement. I've seen many people, including myself, fail once and then abandon the goal they set for themselves. After all, humans are only happy and satisfied with what they want, so I completely understand why people want to give up after failing. As I previously stated, it is human nature to feel. When faced with a problem, I was one of those people who gave up quickly. That was before I possessed this one characteristic, adaptability. To really be fair, adapting to a situation may appear impossible at first. Many people want to give up at the first sign of a fall, but others intend to get back up. Speaking from personal experience, I learned to adapt to a specific situation; others may adapt under pressure, while others may adapt when there is no pressure. The point is that we are all unique, and we should embrace that.

(b) I completely disagree with that statement. It is not only impossible to succeed all of the time, but it is also detrimental to your health. If you are always successful, you will have a terrible sense of pride, not to mention be egotistical all of the time. When and if you fail, you begin to doubt yourself greatly, which is extremely harmful and has a negative impact on your mental health and well-being. We've all got the wrong idea about failure. We believe that if we cannot complete this one task in one sitting, we are ineffective. Failure, on the other hand, is our companion, capable of teaching us important lessons. Failure is an inevitable part of success, not a sign that we should give up.

Part 2 :
2(a) You have to believe in yourself in order to not feel discouraged or give up so easily. It is okay to fall but getting up is your decision. You have to practice some sense of self-belief because having that can help you through tough times but it can help you push harder and break through obstacles.

2(b) I do not agree in succeeding all the time as in every successes, there were failures. Failing gives you the motivation to learn from your mistakes and to work harder and failing has helped me as motivation to strive better whether if it is my academics, my CCA, or working on myself. Failing is a minor setback for a major comeback of success.

part2a: my advice to people is that they should not discouraged at their failure due to the fact that failure is part and parcel with success. they cannot expect to get everything correct in one try so, they should be open to making mistakes and learning how they are able to improve from their mistakes and move on towards their success.

part2b: it is not necessary to succeed all the time due to failure make you a better and more knowledgeable than before. if you were to succeed at everything and come across one failure, you would feel like you would want to give up. but if you have been through failure, you would understand how and where you have gone wrong at and how to improve and overcome your failure.

2 (a)
We all face failing things at least once in our lives. Personally it is how most of us learn things. In this speech, I will be giving advice to the people who feel discouraged easily once they fail to do the things they want to do.

Firstly, it is normal to fail or not achieve something in life. Instead of having a negative mindset of why you are failing, take it as an opportunity to learn something new. Take it as you are growing, reflect what you have done wrong and do it again but with more effort.

Secondly, we should not give up when we fail something. We should always stay motivated and not give up. We should continue to work towards what we are achieving and keep working hard until we get it right.

Thirdly, whenever we feel discouraged and have a mindset of giving up, we can always seek help from loved ones, friends or even your teachers. By doing so, they can guide you slowly until you achieve it.

In conclusion, it is completely normal to fail something in life but we should never give up. Work harder and try again until we succeed.

2(b)
I disagree that it is important to succeed all the time. The reason is because it is unhealthy to think that you have to succeed all the time. Study shows that by having this mindset, it can deteriorate with your mental health. Most of us think that we have to be successful all the time but i personally think that it can jeopardize with someone's life. Even most parents put too much pressure on their kid by wanting them to be a doctor or lawyer. Most kids cant handle the stress and eventually get stressed, tired and some even depressed. So that is why i disagree with the terms of it is important to succeed all the time.

I can build my self-efficiency by understanding and learning as well as improving myself so that I can overcome challenging obstacles ahead of me.

There are many merits in participating competitions, most of which involve getting yourself fit, and not living such a sedentary lifestyle. Is taking part in competitions good for individuals? - I agree to a high extent that it is highly beneficial to many individuals, especially youths, to partake in competitions. I will list 3 main reasons as to why youths would find competitions meaningful.

Firstly, many individuals get to acknowledge and put their talent into work. They get to share about their unique trait to the world, as well as becoming famous and breaking world records. Their names will be world-renowned over the globe, they might even be a part of history.

Secondly, many can learn from their opponents. It is always inspiring to learn from rivals who are better and more skillful in order to improve yourself, as well as learning new tips and tricks to help enhance their creativity. This is a good way of setting a goal, and having motivation to push yourself to become greater than your opponent.

Thirdly, competitors with good sportsmanship will be able to create a friendship bond with their rival. They can make new friends, understand one another and learn each other's story. It is one thing to be good at something, but even better to be good at it with a partner by your side.

In conclusion, taking part in competitions is excellent for individuals. It shows that they can express their unique talent, inspiring others and become the greatest of all time.

Part 2:
(a) You should not be discouraged just because you did something wrong or made a mistake. For me, personally, I do feel discouraged sometimes. I tend to get mad for the slightest reason. From my personal experience, recently, I had a common test exam. I felt confident in my Math exam. I knew i was going to get an A but turns out i was wrong. Sadly, I got a C instead. I was speechless and I could think of what went wrong because I usually get an A and I even check it a few times. My advice is to not give up and do not be too confident about the challenges that you face.

(b) I disagree about having to succeed all the time. Succeeding something is to make effort but at the same time there are ups and downs. There are times when you feel like you have to reach that expectation and feel like if you did not do well, you could not do anything in your life just because of that one course that you really want to go in. Well that is me sometimes.

PART 2
a) Everyone is not perfect, humans will tend to fail at various things. So you shouldn't give up and keep trying as you will eventually get the result you desire. Personally for me when I first tried 3d modelling. I was frustrated as I couldn't get it looking like what I wanted. After sometime I decided to give it a shot again and this time I was thrilled as it turns out to be what I expected.

b) I disagree, as no human is perfect. Failing tells us that we are learning how to do better to improve including not giving up till we succeed.
