First of all the tentacles were really hard to work with and I don't love how they came out. Every time I would put my project away or take it out of the locker I found at least one or two to have fallen off every day. I created them somewhat like an ice cream cone by flatening a piece of clay and roping it up to form a cone. I then shaped the cones to add some variation. Then after the project was ready to be glazed I sort of rushed over it when I should have taken much more care and effort into finding the right colors. I really struggled to accomplish the main goal of this project which was to let it be original and let things flow into place. For example I made my overall shape a plain circle and I believe that fueled my struggle in wear I could take it from there. I really wanted to add a whale tail somewhere on my project so I made it the handle and sort of gave it a sea garde theam  which I was very happy with. I really like my main idea for the lid but the way I cut it got it stuck so I had to make some changes but I'm still happy with it and it's a really original part since I couldn't really follow one of my designs. I love how the gradient inside turned out but the middle piece sort of got messed up. When I was creating this project something went wrong when I had been absent and the entire body collapsed. I actually was somewhat glad this happened because the coils were cracking and I had no special coils. I did manage to save the head which I thought looked great so that was helpful. Anyway I decided to randomly add special coils throughout the body which I was afraid to do before but I really love that aspect of it. One specialty coil I was actually quite proud of was the tow coils at the top of the head making the sort of crown of feathers found on horned owls. I created these bey actually rolling out the coils and then cutting slits with scissors along one side on both, then when it curved it sort of feathered out and I love the way it looks. When presented with the element glazes lapis lagoon caught my eye and I knew I had to use it. I put that on the specialty coils and then put textures and autumn on the plain coils. They fail was a bunch of flattened coils and I liked the effect but three of the feathers broke off and it sort of ruined it a little bit. I used ruby creek covered in white cobblestone and the ruby creek was a little too grey undertoned then I would have liked but it wasn't too bad. Over all I really love my project for its cohesion and simplistic creativity.
