Spotify is currently continuing to outdo Apple Music, but Apple Music's subscriber numbers are growing at a rapid rate with 27million subscribers just a couple years after starting up. 

These high figures which seem to be increasing constantly pose huge threats for Radio 1 as people enjoy selection of music in tune with their current moods as opposed  to waiting for music whilst having to listen to radio hosts' voices on the radio
