West Monroe

West Monroe is my hometown and where my mom, dad, my sister, and I have all grown up. Although my mom was not born here, she moved as a child and grew up in this town. The community is something that is very important to my family and I, and it has given us so much over the years. I have seen the amazing support by the West Monroe community through my dad’s local business, my time playing soccer at West Monroe High School, and in so many other areas. I love this town, and I am so thankful that I have been able to grow up here.

Soccer

Soccer has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. This sport has given me my best friends and the best memories. My sister also played, so it was always something, among many other things, that bonded us. In my 15 years of playing, both of my parents coached me at different ages, and I strongly feel that this sport is one of the things that makes me appreciate and love my parents even more. Soccer will forever have a special place in my heart because of all of the things it has given me, and I can’t wait to hopefully have kids that will love it just as much as I do.

Church

My church is a place that I know I can always go to and feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. I have gone to First West Baptist Church in West Monroe my whole life, and I consider every member family. I have made great memories at this church whether it be in the children's ministry, the student ministry, or being a leader at student conferences. This is the place where I gave my life to Christ and where I was able to publicly announce that decision through baptism. Both my parents serve at my church. My dad is a Deacon, and my mom serves in the children's ministry. They even got married in this church.
