La policía ecuatoriana irrumpió en la embajada de México en la ciudad de Quito el viernes 5 de abril para detener a Jorge Glas, quien fue vicepresidente durante el gobierno de Rafael Correa y estaba en proceso de apelar su condena a los tribunales ecuatorianos, cuando solicito asilo a la embajada de México.
