However there were many difference between the 1869 game and modern day football as in 1869 the rules governing play were based on the London Football Association's 1863 rules that disallowed carrying or throwing the ball. It's so big and the stadium is so spread out that the noise isn't right on top of you and you can hear the quarterback on 3rd down easily.
