1. A programming algorithm is a computer procedure that is a lot like a recipe (called a procedure) and tells your computer precisely what steps to take to solve a problem or reach a goal. The ingredients are called inputs, while the results are called the outputs.
2. Algorithms can perform calculation, data processing and automated reasoning tasks
3. An algorithm can be expressed within a finite amount of space and time
4. In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm is a step-by-step procedure for calculations.
5. The Persian scientist, astronomer and mathematician Abdullah Muhammad bin Musa al-Khwarizmi was indirectly responsible for the term 'Algorithms'

1. A variable is any factor, trait, or condition that can exist in differing amounts or types.
2. An experiment usually has three kinds of variables: independent, dependent, and controlled.
3. An independent variable is the one that is changed by the scientist.
4. It is helpful to think of variables as containers that hold information. Their sole purpose is to label and store data in memory.
5. When you assign a variable, you use the = symbol.

1. In computer programming, a string is traditionally a sequence of characters, either as a literal constant or as some kind of variable.
2. The latter may allow its elements to be mutated and the length changed, or it may be fixed (after creation).
3. When a string appears literally in source code, it is known as a string literal or an anonymous string.
4. A string is generally considered a data type.
5. String may also denote more general arrays or other sequence (or list) data types and structures.
