Slavia Prague defender Ondřej Kúdela has been handed a 10-game ban by UEFA for racially abusing a Glasgow Rangers player during a Europa League match.

Kúdela was found to have racially abused Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara on March 18.

The ban means he will miss the rest of Slavia's Europa League campaign and the Czech Republic's games at the European Championship. The Czechs begin their Euro 2020 program in June against Scotland in Glasgow.

It's claimed Kúdela made racist comments in Kamara's ear during the Europa League game at Ibrox Stadium last month. He acknowledged swearing at Kamara but denied using racist language that another Rangers player also claimed to have heard.

Kamara reacted angrily to the remarks and was banned for three matches for assaulting Kúdela.

Russell went over to Bottas and swore at him after their crash and brushed his helmet with his hand after he was given the middle finger in response.

The pair collided after Russell lost control on a damp part of the track trying to pass Bottas for ninth place.

Stewards decided that neither driver was predominantly to blame in the incident and took no disciplinary action.

After the race, Russell accused Bottas of lacking respect for the dangers of Formula 1.

Russel said in his defense: "I knew it would be one of our best opportunities to score points this season and, when those points matter as much as they do to us right now, sometimes you take risks. It didn't pay off and I have to take responsibility for that". I apologise to Valtteri, to my team and to anyone who felt let down by my actions."

Agnelli was one of the chief architects of the breakaway plans, which involved 12 clubs from England, Spain and Italy.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are yet to comment.

"To be frank and honest no, evidently that is not the case," said Agnelli, on whether the ESL could still happen.

"I remain convinced of the beauty of that project, of the value that it would have developed to the pyramid, of the creation of the best competition in the world, but evidently no. I don't think that project is now still up and running."

Agnelli has been replaced as chairman of the European Club Association by Paris St-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Qatari who resisted repeated attempts to persuade the French club to become founder members of the breakaway league.

Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan announced their withdrawal on Wednesday morning, followed by statements from AC Milan and Juventus.

Agnelli was described as a "snake and a liar" by Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin on Monday after the announcement of the breakaway plans on Sunday evening.
The Juventus chairman resigned his position as chairman of the European Clubs' Association on Sunday and refused to take calls from Ceferin.
In a statement, Juventus said there were "limited chances that the project be completed in the form originally conceived" but that the club "remains convinced of the soundness of the project's sport, commercial and legal premises".

The 25-year-old American will still miss the Tokyo Olympics starting in July as the ban runs until 14 November.
He can, however, defend his world indoor and outdoor titles next year.
Cas "partially upheld" the Athletics Integrity Unit's (AIU) ruling but found his "degree of negligence to be lower".

Coleman, who won 100m gold at the World Championships in Doha in 2019, was first provisionally suspended in June 2020 after missing a third test in December 2019.
The indoor 60m world record holder did not contest his first missed test on 16 January 2019 but disputed his filing failure on 26 April 2019 and whereabouts failure on 9 December.

The AIU investigation into his rule violations said there was no suggestion he had ever taken a banned substance.

However, Coleman's attitude towards his anti-doping obligations was described as "entirely careless, perhaps even reckless" by the AIU in October.
According to the AIU's out-of-competition testing guidelines, athletes are accountable for missed tests if they are not at their specified location for the one-hour period they have stated. The tester must wait for the full 60 minutes before leaving.

Coleman said he was Christmas shopping "five minutes away" from home, and that the tester made no effort to contact him during his third whereabouts failure.
Cas said Coleman "should have been on 'high alert' on that day" considering his previous whereabouts failures, but decided "he would have been able to return" in time to do a test if contacted.

A country from the West Indies will also compete in the women's Twenty20 tournament alongside England, who qualify automatically as hosts.

The teams were decided by the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings. The eighth and final place will go to the winner of a qualifier.

The Games are due to begin on 26 July and will be broadcast live on the BBC.

A West Indies team cannot enter the Games as athletes from the Caribbean region will be representing their individual nations.

Cricket is the first sports discipline at the Games to announce its qualifying teams.

"We are incredibly proud and excited to be part of Birmingham 2022 and it is a fantastic opportunity for us to continue to grow the women's game globally," said ICC acting chief executive Geoff Allardice.

England captain Heather Knight added: "It's going to be a fantastic competition, a real chance to showcase the women's game to a huge audience and it's one we're thrilled to be taking part in."

The event will be only the second time cricket has featured at the Games, after a men's 50-over competition - won by South Africa - was included at Kuala Lumpur in 1998.

Even the players themselves who had not been warned of the creation of this tournament after learning of the possible exclusion from their respective national teams strongly opposed it.

Riding this rebellion after the news of the creation of the Super League, UEFA gave the teams involved a chance to exit and not receive additional penalties and so the member teams decided to leave leading to the destruction of the Super League at least for the moment.

After the cancellation of the Superlega, the top UEFA leaders say that football had defeated money.

Due to a change in the international match window by FIFA, the matches will be treated as friendlies.

The U.S. is the only one of the four teams to have qualified for the Olympics. The match against Nigeria will mark the first time the USWNT has faced the team outside of a world championship and will be the third-ever friendly against an African country, with the USWNT’s previous two games coming against South Africa. The first five games of the series will take place at BBVA Stadium in Houston. The final game between the U.S. and Nigeria will be played at Q2 Stadium in Austin.

It will be the first soccer game at the brand new stadium, home of Major League Soccer’s newest club, Austin FC. It will also be the first time a U.S. Soccer senior national team has ever made an appearance in the city of Austin.
