Chose this one mainly cause she looks like an absolute diva. But it has so many examples of value, the white of the background, how her skin is seemingly grey, the black of her nails and lipstick. The greyscale of the picture really emphasizes everything. The dip of her collarbone, the contour of her neck, it's all pointed out to match the confidence of her pose. The intensity in her eyes doesn't go unnoticed either.

This picture has a fair amount of texture, not only in the background, but at the forefront as well. You can see the texture of the tree, the branches—despite being encased in ice—still appear 'spiky' in a way. Though, the ice also draws your attention to it, not only with the natural shape it took on, but with the bumpy surface, and tiny airbubbles. The trees in the background also make to reinforce this 'prickly' feeling to me when I look at it.
