What I Admired Most About My Discipline....

What I admired most about the following humanities discipline of both educational sociology and law was analyzing educational disparities within one's society and finding newfound rationalization towards my own educational experience. For example, thanks to this discipline, I found what exact terminology was responsible for certain differences among children I saw when I was younger, such as educational tracking. With this insight in mind, I now know how important it is for me to ensure that I pass down my academic knowledge to loved ones around me.

A specific example I may offer is now being able to ensure that my little sister is prepared to enter school with the appropriate knowledge, as tracking is unfortunately extremely prevalent. As a result, this dedication and inclination to share my knowledge also spreads towards wanting to tutor other children in incredibly pertinent subjects, such as English.

The following organization American Sociological Association, serves as an academic platform hosting a journal named the "Sociology of Education", where there are consistent publications and findings written for further investigation on the sociological aspects and effectiveness of laws on the current educational system. The following journal is open for a variety of scholars to participate in and is peer reviewed. In addition, the publication of the journal is consistently updated through four publications within the entirety of a year.

In addition, the organization of the U.S Department of Education also plays a significant role in how those in the discipline of sociology and law when about education interact. For example, the use of yearly statistics provides for certain schools, such as teacher shortages, student enrollment, and more.

Finally, coming from the U.S. Department of Education, another prominent organization for those in the sociology and law discipline of education is ERIC, where a lot of perceived researchers publish in international journals that cover educational policies.

Modern issues within educational sociology and law are of interest in new cellphone policies being introduced across the U.S. as a solution to children becoming increasingly distracted. This addition is controversial as individuals see this as a personal right, while others acknowledge that children are performing poorly.

There are also prominent issues such as the unique terminology "Social Promotion," signifying that there are educational policies that graduate children without passing.

The most prominent citation style within both sociology and law is APA, the American Psychological Association. In addition to the utilization of law, researchers may also utilize the Bluebook.

There are a variety of professions and sub-disciplines present within the sociology and law of education. For example, major careers consist of policy makers, counselors, teachers, administrators, social workers, or a job on the school board. The following professions all have direct contact and analysis of the sociological and legal aspects of modern education. As a result, the sub-discipline follows the same pattern of communities such as educators, policy making, and finally, child development.
