Once you have customer insights, you can ideate and design a website that brings true value to customers.
4. Prototyping and testing: You would need to create a prototype that can be tested. Get a lot of feedback and suggestions from the customers.
Testing means you may have to use more than one prototype, and see what works well.
5.Constant improvements: You would need to keep improving the website from time to time, depending on newer consumer needs and problems.
-Nhi-

To me, design thinking is an approach towards product/service creating that emphasizes on customer's actual need. Before this trend, people are more product-centric: selling what they have to offer and what they think is good. With the design thinking approach, the customers are put at the center of every production effort. Moreover, since the customer's demand changes constantly, design thinking will help business owners adopt and improve their product/service.
- Chi Dang

It amazed me how effective solutions design thinking provides for market using simple steps: interviewing customer. I did not know that I had used design thinking in my school project regarding to where solutions where based on our experience as a customer. I believe that design thinking will be included in every business decision in the near future, when tools will be provided for everyone.
-Katja Fedotova

The name speaks the meaning for itself - Design Thinking is a way of thinking, a trendy suggested methodology for problem solving, indeed an approach to all questions. Design Thinking does not maintain itself only within the product/service development boundary. If one understands the core methodology, he/she could even use its as his/her faiths in life, to solve personal problem. The main take-aways from Design Thinking are whatever you do it should be human-centric, you should chase after empathise, and you need to learn this by learn "assumption is the mother of all fuck up". I cannot empathise

Design thinking represents a way of designing products, experiences and services that puts the user at the heart of it. In the past many platforms and experiences were designed by engineers and product managers with little thought about what it felt like to use the products.

This probably resulted in websites and products needing a bible size instructions manual to come with them, so that the user knew how to engage. The process placed the manufacturer, product features and other items first. Sometimes the experience of navigating a website or using a product was solely functional, not inspirational. Design thinking to me represents fixing this old problem, and putting the user first. - Mira Korhonen-Low

To me design thinking implies, in the most simplistic terms, taking a concept/idea and turning that into a product/value. To be more detailed, it is molding a raw "non-physical" material into a refined whole that fulfills the desired result - be it a product to sell in quantity or a sustainable method of action in industry for example. And most importantly, in the center of the design thought process is the end-user.

So far, the straight way of thinking that took us to where we are now in history it has carried with it all the problems that we are facing nowadays as well as the improvements from past problems. However, I love to see the world with different points of views and after reading "Design Thinking introduction" on campus online, I really got into this course and want to learn more and know more about this.
Linh Do

Nowadays, the world is constantly changing with the advancement of technology, especially with the close collaboration with user experience and design thinking. Therefore, Design thinking, to me, is the core of business innovation development, which navigates the product road map by utilizing the end user's point of view to facilitate solutions which satisfy customers' needs and wants. Design thinking is vital to the business to build the best experiences for the customers. The iteration process in design thinking enhances the development process and produces more valuable, practical and creative solutions for product design. Design thinking is also accompanied with agile methodologies - a software development method to collaboratively build better solutions for business.

Mai Nguyen

Design Thinking itself is a very wide topic to define. At first glance, It seemed to like it is more about developing User Experience. But I think this is more about considering Human Factor in Design. How human thoughts and thinking communicates with the Design of Products/Services/Technology. It is not the thinking of how a product should look like but it's more about how humans want to see this product.

Cheers,
Zubair Tariq
