The audio reader is nice for students to be able to use.&nbsp;<br>3.&nbsp; Unable to see student progress without exporting it.&nbsp;<br>4.          <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Great source for marking the text. The tools available are great for highlighting main ideas and other facts.&nbsp;<br><br>2. Turning in assignments is complicated and not user friendly. This makes feedback difficult.<br><br>3. Many students prefer to use the paper copy. Accessing the documents while writing the essay response makes it complicated especially when using the iPad.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The audio feature is a great resource to use with all learners at any point throughout the DBQ writing process. <br>2. Differentiation is made easy through the resource.<br>3. My students and I enjoyed the variety of documents/sources. <br><br>4. I wish there was a Grading feature right on the DBQ Online site. I have had students type their final drafts in a Google Doc or write it traditionally on paper so their final work is not lost. Deleted work throughout the program became very discouraging for students. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I really enjoy the online features. Students can be assigned specific versions of the DBQ based on their ability levels.<br><br>Students can easily access&nbsp; tools to help them mark up the documents and make annotations.<br><br>Students who need accommodations can have the text read to them.&nbsp;<br><br>One problem that I have had with the online version is student work being "deleted". Uploading the document to Google Classroom for submission is also a tedious process. &nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Overall it was nice to be able to tailor specific questions for the docs depending on the student.&nbsp; The audio function was also a nice perk.&nbsp; Unfortunately, the functionality of the program on the iPads was very poor.&nbsp; My students like to see their analyzed documents and the planner or the planner and essay at the same time but that was not possible (at least as far as I know) in the app.</div>]]></description>

Students were generally less-engaged with the online DBQ because they were frustrated with the iPad<br><br>In general, I like the online DBQ features and the fact that English is starting to use DBQs as well.  However, in the future I will sign out a computer lab to use with the DBQ.</div>]]></description>

         <title>DBQ Online Feedback - Shives (Used three DBQ&#39;s per class (4 classes)</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Lower students struggled with the typing.&nbsp;<br>2. Online version did not allow students to turn individual documents in for grading.<br>3. It is difficult to get the finished essay as the students cannot print from their I-Pad so I had to use Google Classroom.<br>4. Having all of the DBQ's already online was nice and it saves paper.&nbsp;<br>The text - to - speech feature is great for lower level students. I gave them a paper copy and had them use the read aloud feature to help with the reading.&nbsp;<br>5. Some images were in color and all were  easier to analyze on the online version.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>Painful Process </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Many students struggled to learn the technology- Too much time was spent teaching them to use the platform.<br>2. With having to teach students good historical writing, sourcing, analyzing and more there simply wasn't enough time to be teaching them how to use the APP too. Also Many students were constantly forgetting, losing or having dead IPADs. Paper copies proved to be more effective for most students.<br>3. Once students got the technology many of the tools were nice.&nbsp;<br>4. Text to speech was beneficial for some students who have lower reading levels.&nbsp;<br>5. Most students ended up preferring hard copies. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.&nbsp; My Magnet and AVID students loved the online capabilities.&nbsp; They preferred typing their response and the ease of the program.&nbsp; My grade level students found it more challenging - they were begging me for paper copies by the end of the activity.<br>2. I love the ease of the technology and lack of paper. DBQ's can be huge and it's nice to store it all electronically.&nbsp; Students found the link to be very accommodating and the site is very user friendly.<br>3.  I wish the exporting were more "share friendly" - it doesn't work amazing with Showbie...</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. Students struggled toggling back and forth from their answer text box and the resources.&nbsp;<br>2. Paired well with Google Docs and Google Classroom.&nbsp;<br>3. Great resources. Text to speech worked well for students with accommodations.&nbsp;<br><br>Overall, I believe this resource is much more authentic than the paper DBQ's we worked with in the past. I've enjoyed the opportunity to blend this tool with Google Classroom.</div>]]></description>
