To commence, Nishie's song sounds more resonating and clean compared to lassie doh's song which sounds natural to the Bahamain culture. Lassie doh's song has more techniques than nishie's song. When it comes to nishie- Loose me it had a more technical sound made in a studio whereas the second song lassiedoh had a more outside Bahamian made such as using saw and nails. Furthermore The instruments in song 1 is not as impacting to Bahamian culture whereas in song 2 it has a raw and live culture wanting to bring out the Bahamian get down culture,Lastly thought tourist may not care about the instruments used and sound those who came for our culture would like song 2 more becuase it generates a feeling of being invlovled whereas song 1 may sound alike but it would not feel the same as its not only made for the Bahamian people and cannot not fully bring out and enlighten them to our culture as much

Nishie’s song uses more electronic, modern instruments whereas Lassie Doh’s song uses more traditional instruments like the scraper and Tum Tums. The electronically voiced instruments used in Nishie's song have a more polished and almost perfected sound which makes you want to dance and sing along however, in Lassie Doh's song the instruments sound more organic, raw and uncut giving you a feeling of nostalgia. Both songs are of Bahamian culture and have great quality but Lassidoh's song gives a more authentic feeling of what the Bahamas's music is like and a better taste of Bahamian culture.

Nishie's song mainly focuses on wanting freedom from her home whereas Lassie Doh's song specially focused on two sons wanting to "Rake N' Scrape" in their mom's house though she refused. Futhermore, Lassie Doh's tune was produced over a decade and created for fun with love, in contrast to Lose me which was produced during a pandemic where her country was on lock down with few privileges. It is worth noting that listening to both songs Lose me surely drives the adrenaline I firmly believe, that Lassiedoh's song can potentially affect the tourism industry in a positive way seeing that it sounds more bahamian-like and numerous instruments can be heard however Nishie's song would attract more female Caribbean tourist.

Alternatively, instrumentation is another fact that supports the differentiation of these cultural songs. In comparison to Lassie Doh’s song which primarily composed of traditional instruments, including the harmonica that dominates the song giving it a creative edge, the base guitar, and scrappers which dominates the melody. Nishie’s song incorporates futuristic sound instruments like the tum tum’s, scrappers, and drums. Moreover, “Loose Me” sounds more polished and studio-made thanks to the artificially voiced instruments used, yet it is still capable of making you feel any to dance and groove along. Contrarily, the instruments utilized in Lassie Doh’s song gives it a genuine, raw, and natural tone while also evoking memories of the past. The fact that Lassi Doh’s song was published in 2010 with few to little advanced technology accessible helps to explain why it sounds more natural than Nishie’s song, which was published in 2020 amid a pandemic and using more sophisticated technology. As can be observed, both songs provide instances of Bahamian culture and life, but Lassie Doh’s song offers listeners a richer, and more authentic sense of culture and music in The Bahamas.
Additionally, theses folk tunes vary in their musical rhythm. While Nishie’s musical rhythm is significantly enthralled with an upbeat speed, Lassie Doh’s musical rhythm can be described as fast with a flowing pace. In continuation, Lassie Doh’s musical rhythm has the ability to make older Bahamians feel energized since they can relate to the songs inner meaning and ‘bus’ the Rake N’ Scrape dance. As opposed to Nishie’s, which generates a lively and joyous mood that captures both the attention of young and elderly people. Overall, despite the uniqueness of both local song sees, Nishie’s musical rhythm is preferable.

Title: Bahamian Music Old Vs. New

Music is a language that doesn’t speak in particular words. It speaks in emotions, and if it’s in the bones, it’s in the bones.” uttered from the mouth of Keith Richards. As for me, music pushes the ground away when it is about to collapse upon me. Don't you ever wonder that music is certainly the sparkle of joy to everyone's day? The most calming and alluring music ever produced in history, in my view, is Bahamian music. Several Bahamian songs are comparable and can be contrasted, including Loose Me by Nishie L.S and Rake N' Scrape by Lassie Doh Boys. This is undeniable true, as evidenced by its musical content, instrumentation, and music rhythm.

The first difference we'll be examining is the instruments used in each song. For instance, the song loose me, by Nishie was recorded in a studio whilst, Lassie doh uses those ole' Bahamian instruments like saws and nails which allows this song to sound more polished. Furthermore Lassie doh uses dialog throughout the song, which expresses more of our Bahamian culture, and creates a raw upbeat rhythm.
