She sings about not following what people want you to do, and about rebelling against society's vision.
In Emerson's Self-Reliance he highlights the fact that society is trying it's hardest to make every member the exact same. He explicitly says, "Society everywhere is in conspiracy against the manhood(individuality) of every one of its members.
Alaina saying, "You won't make yourself a name if you follow the rules history gets made when you're acting a fool." Is very similar sentiment for what Emerson is saying. In the end she released the people and retreated into the wilderness to be happy and alone.
Thoreau did a similar maneuver. He retreated into the wilderness near Walden Lake. He did so to remove himself from society and the corruption of people. He found his experience enlightening, and he spoke very highly of his time. 
Both Wanda and Thoreau escaped into nature after society failed them. Thoreau was escaping corruption and filth. Space cowboy, Din Djarin, armed with his nearly invincible armor tracks down the galaxy's most wanted, for a fee of course. He is charged to hunt down a child and return the baby to a shattered fragment of the once mighty Galactic Empire. True to his reputation Djarin finds the child and delivers it. However instead of just moving on to the next job like his mind and reason tell him to, he goes back for the baby. He storms the complex and rescues the child from whatever horrific experimentation he was subject to. 
In his essay, Self-Reliance, Emerson states, “Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string.” This is basically saying that there is a sound, solid iron string that every man's heart is attuned to.  Iron is strong and unwavering, Emerson is saying that each man must have a similar heart to be a good person. 
Where Emerson has a iron string, Djarin has a beskar heart. Djarin went against every shred of reason and critical thinking to save the child. In said movie the character Logan has retreated to living like a wild animal, hunting his own food and making his own shelter. He thrives just living off what he can find himself. he marks his territory, he protects himself and his assets, and he thrives off what he can do.
Emerson says, "What I must do is all that concerns me." He is saying that what other people want doesn't matter to him. He is saying what other people need doesn't matter to him. He is saying what other people ask of him doesn't matter to him. He is just going to do what he needs to do.
Both men have vowed to live on exactly what they need. They do not care what's going on around them. They will do what they need for themselves and no more. Logan is the ultimate self-reliance human. They are all fairly good at following that mandate and lead a simple life style.  The best example is one who gave up a palace for a simple shack.
Emerson says in his Nature essay, "Maugre all his impertinent griefs, he shall be glad with me.” Maugre means in spite of, so in spite of griefs and imperfections he shall still be glad. basically saying be happy no matter how simple and imperfect.
