I've spent time learning about every English monarch, starting with William the Conqueror; however, the history before the Norman conqueror is just as fascinating. If you think the year 2020 is uncertain, you must hear about the year 1066 - the year of four kings. Brothers staged murders for the throne, only for a victorious outsider to take over. William I set many precedents for his future successors, however, tyranny began to arise following his reign. King John was not a particularly well-liked monarch; many rebellions began to arise. For the first time in English History, monarchs no longer had overarching power! Parliament was now the overseer of English politics, with monarchs now taking a more influential "celebrity" role. Queen Victoria's iconic marriage and fashions were prevalently seen throughout Britain - and perhaps even the world! I thought I'd throw in two pieces for this one!
