A "Non-Aggression" pact is when two or more countries decide not to fight or interfere with each other or their plans. Hitler and Stalin decided this would work well for both of them and decided to create the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression pact where they will not fight for 10 years. This allowed Germans to continue their terror without the Soviets interfering. Stalin signed the act in order to keep peace in his country and rebuild his army. Germany would use this pact in order to take poland without much opposition.
