         <description><![CDATA[<div>Puritans- had family based values/ roles.<br>- "perfect society"<br>- Men had the say<br>&nbsp;&gt; if a woman married a man and had property, he would have the power over that.&nbsp;<br>- a woman's main goal<br>&nbsp; &gt; have/ stay with children.<br>-Puritans feared individualism.<br>&nbsp;&gt; conformity&nbsp;<br>- Each town had their own Congregational Church.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&gt; clergy<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&gt; laity<br>- men had say over church<br>&nbsp; &gt; not everyone who went to church were members.<br>&nbsp; &gt; to be a full member you must demonstrate that you have experienced divine grace and could be considered a "visible saint."<br>- they believed in predestination</div>]]></description>
