         <description><![CDATA[<p>Sometimes it's difficult to design a session for different abilities, because it's not always apparent what those abilities are until the actual session is being delivered. Sometimes designing on the fly - things change depending on assumptions, what the tutors has said the students are like. The key takeaway is to go in with options and tailor the session as needed (sometimes!).</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Ideally we offer different versions of the same session so that they are accessible to everyone. Live session, recorded session and then script to appeal to different kinds of learners. Also having tutorials for people we miss in the other sessions.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think this was is easier to incorporate into teaching, because we are able to use alternative formats, e.g. text, talk, visual, videos, use of images, discussions, talk and chalk, interactivity. We think structuring all of this is key, so that we don't overwhelm students with different modes of information or volume of information. Scaffolding this is key.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In a face to face session, using Padlet or Menti are both good tools for response and engagement. Using both a QR code and URL on a slide allows students to access the activity before or during the session if shared on a Moodle area with session slides. This also supports accessibility needs. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Using the digital and online tools like menti, vexox, padlet, etc is important.</p><p><br></p><p>Important to have active and passive forms of interactivity (e.g. poll vs encouraging them to make notes) - I have a slide which i use to highlight different ways students can engage with the session.</p><p><br></p><p>Sometimes it's important to recognise the some students might be uncomfortable conversing with a relative stranger in the classroom - how do we create an environment which is less intimidating?</p>]]></description>
