This magazine will be based on different themes of summer, such as outfits for a bbq, a party or a festival.
The aim of this magazine is to show the skills of the Journalism and Fashion students at college, and incorporating them into one magazine.
There will be 4 main pages, where each person from our group will use their own style and fashion to create a page, full of pictures and writing.

Also, we split into two to complete the audience and market research planning sheets. Me and Leah took the target audience sheet, and she wrote up the research we would need to do, whilst i created and sent out the questionnaire, and wrote the questions for our focus group.

I began by looking through different font options for the magazine title, the main text, sub titles and quotes. I put together a few different options and then asked the rest of the group to vote on what ones would be used.

After this, i began a powerpoint presentation, where i created 4 different potential page layouts, and asked the group what one they would like their page to be, now this is decided i will be able to enter their text and the edited pictures straight into the template.

Today i also began editing some of Leah's pictures, where i mainly adjusted the brightness levels, and cropped the edges, so it would be suitable for the magazine.

I also worked on the design of the magazine, by putting all of the templates into order, typing up headings and subtitles, and creating picture quotes for the back page of our magazine.

Now that the design of the magazine is ready, we are just waiting on the front cover to be shot, which will be completed on Thursday. Also for the articles to be written up, which we will all be doing separately for our own pages. The last thing is the 'tips and advice page' which will be written up tomorrow by Leah, once Latoa has interviewed the fashion students.

Tomorrow i could begin adding our shots into the magazine layout, so that it will one together a lot quicker when the writing is ready to be added.

I then worked on my action plan throughout the day, updating it with what has been done so far, and also planning for the weeks ahead coming up to the deadline.

Me and Leah also completed the focus group for the target audience research, and Charlotte completed the focus group for the target market research.

Once that was done, i added some more detail and analysis to the target audience responses document, and sent it to the rest of the group to use for their research summary. I then began my own research summary by including the target market survey answers, and noting down what members of the group done what.

I have now completed the contents page, my page and leah's page, and so am now a lot more familiar with how to put the pages together.

However i did run in to a problem with labelling the pictures on their pages, which is something i will try again with on Thursday.

Once it was ready i printed one as a practice to see how it would turn out. However i didn't print it on the correct settings and so each page was landscape rather than portrait.

I found out how to change that and was able to print another copy the right way. That will be the physical copy of our work that we hand in, but i will also upload the magazine in its digital form.

I also noticed on the magazine front cover that we had not included the price or date of publish, and so i went back to that very quickly to make that change, and then was able to upload it and print it out for the final time.
