In my unit "Where do we spend our time?", students were learning about the home , things that occupy their time in their home and more. So, we used magazines, internet photos and more to complete this activity. Students can do this on a prescribed form that you provide, on paper or on whiteboards. In the spirit of having students demonstrate what they can do, set a timer and have them list something that they see in the photo with an adjective (so, a purple couch, a giant mirror, a silver over, etc...). After the timer goes off, have students pass their photo to the next person and this continues for 5 minutes or so. When you are done. Have students take a moment to revise their work and check for adjective/noun agreement. Then, with partners, students can create sentences about how those items do/don't fit into their daily lives and routines. This activity reinforced a few things for my students. 1. They were reminded how to share things that did NOT fit with their lifestyle as they get in the habit of only talking about what does fit. 2. They participated in their own revision alone and with a partner. 3. The photos that I used were all taken from homes (we think) in the Hispanic world, so all were relevant and culturally-appropriate images. Add each snapshot to its appropriate slide." They had to point to show who they were talking about or to. They love taking selfies! I showed them a model and then let them do it. 1. Identify one of the three oldest literary genres - Poetry. One of it's main characteristics  is that it is beautiful language used to express feelings, emotions and subjective perspectives more than the content itself. 
2. Also,  in the Spanish language, you can use syllabication to review orthographic rules
What follows is an example in Spanish using a short poem by Gabriela Mistral "Atardecer"

Procedimientos:
A. Dar a los estudiantes una hoja de papel con el poema “Atardecer” de Gabriela Mistral. A manera de introducción habrá que  explicar brevemente el quién, cuándo y dónde del poema. Los estudiantes deberán leerlo tres veces contestando diferentes preguntas cada vez:
La primera vez – Checa el contenido, de que se trata. Anota la impresión que te causa el poema y busca el significado de palabras desconocidas.
La segunda vez – Describe cual es el tema principal del poema, cual es el estilo del poeta y su tono
La tercera vez – Observa los detalles: cuenta las silabas en cada verso (métrica), el ritmo y la rima (Consonante o Asonante)

B. Repaso de las Reglas Explicitas: Los estudiantes comparten sus respuestas con toda la clase; la maestra puede escribir algunas de esas ideas en el pizarrón. Hay que asegurarse que los elementos básicos para analizar poemas estén presentes (Contenido, lenguaje, estilo, tono y estructura), si hay dudas habrá que aclararlas.

C. Al cabo the revisar varios poemas durante la unidad  y de presentarlos en formas diversas (escuchar el poema leído, cantado, recitado), los estudiantes podrán escribir su propio poema y leerlo en voz alta para todos

Flipgrid is a video platform where you can post a video (of you, yourself asking a question, and/or you can also import something from youtube). The students then get an access code and can view and answer your question or make comments about what you posted.
