         <description><![CDATA[<div>While the army fought for freedom it had secrets like the Army accepted black enlistees but created separate black infantry regiments and assigned white commanders to them. The Army Air Corps' black fighter wing was completely separate, training at an all black university at Tuskegee, Alabama. The Navy segregated Negro units and gave them the most menial jobs on ships. And the Marines, at least initially, didn't even accept African Americans. At every training base, black and white soldiers were kept apart.Here are some groups who despite the odds were in the army and even thrived.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Navy known to have a strict and grueling boot camp are no better.At pearl harbor while under attack a black male trained to be just a mess man jump into a AA gun and fired until he emptied the all his ammo he then abandoned ship . The Navy then refused to release the identity of said man.Then after black newspapers kept the story alive they ID him as  Dorie Miller and awarded him a medal.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>black men were allowed to even fly planes.The Tuskegee Airmen was a  all black Platoon.They went from North Africa to latter Italy.They flew 200 bomber escort missions! They all were a success even when they went against 8 new jet planes. They got 2 and damaged 5 others. </div>]]></description>
