According to study published by the Germanwatch Institute, Japan, the Philippines, and Germany are now the nations most impacted by climate change, according to a reliable source. The results of extreme weather events and the socioeconomic losses they cause were the basis for this investigation.

As a survey suggests, Earth's temperature would continue to increase for a few decades even if all human emissions of heat-trapping gases were to cease immediately because water currents would transport extra heat stored in the deep ocean to the surface. The Earth's temperature would stabilize after this extra heat was released into space. According to experts, the additional warming caused by this "hidden" heat won't likely reach more than 0.9° Fahrenheit. Without additional human interference, natural processes would start to progressively remove more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, resulting in a steady drop in world temperatures.

A fundamental analysis asserts that 1988 saw an increase in the importance of ozone layer loss and global warming in the political and popular discourse throughout the world. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was founded and gathered for the first time in November to study greenhouse warming and global climate change. The General Assembly declared climate change to be a particular and concerning issue. They started a full examination of climate change and made recommendations on it in their decision on the protection of the global climate for the current and future generations of humans. These recommendations included potential response strategies to delay, limit, or minimize the impact of climate change. As a result, 1989 marked a turning point in the fight against climate change as the first big worldwide measures were made.

- According to NASA, if humans stopped emitting greenhouse gases today, the rise in global temperatures would flatten within a few years. However, they would still remain elevated due to the severe impact. Without a major reduction of emissions, global temperature is expected to rise by 2.5 °C to 4.5 °C by 2100.

- The average global temperature has risen by a little more than 1 °C since 1880. Although this might sound very little to some people, it has obviously caused enormous damages on the planet. Check out the video above to have an idea of what 3 °C of global warming could look like.

- The UNDP states that Türkiye is highly vulnerable to climate change as it is already facing a warming trend in temperatures and a decrease in precipitation. This obviously has severe negative effects on water availability, rural development and food production.
