Miral Pharaon 8M

The differences and similarities between the French Revolution and the Haiti Revolution were not a lot. Poor treatment of the poor, money troubles, and not enough food. These were the everyday struggles that pushed people to start a change in the French Revolution. In the Haiti revolution, the people were also treated unequally, pushing the revolution. The Haitian Revolution and the French Revolution were both important events in history, each with its own reasons and goals. The French Revolution mainly happened because people in France were unhappy with their government and demanded more rights and freedom. The Haitian Revolution began when enslaved people in Haiti rebelled against slavery and fought for their freedom and independence. While the French Revolution aimed to change France's government. The Haitian Revolution was made to end slavery and make Haiti as the first independent country led by enslaved people.

The Haiti Revolution and The Latin Revolutions both started a revolution to get their own country and independence which is a similarity since they were fighting for the same problem while a difference was they were under control by different rulers(countries) and were fighting for different stuff that fell in the independence category, Haiti was focusing on freeing the slaves while the Latin countries were focusing on getting their country back and with a new political system.

Maryam 8M

Today I will talk about the similarities and differences between the American revolution and the Haiti revolution.

Both the American Revolution and the Haitian Revolution were significant historical occurrences that contributed to the end of colonial power. Their mutual objective was independence. An unjust tax system and a lack of representation drove the American Revolution, which established a democratic republic. The first sovereign black republic in the Western Hemisphere was established as a result of the Haiti Revolution, which was motivated by the desire to be free from racial injustice and slavery. The American Revolution mostly benefited white colonists, whereas the Haitian Revolution led to the emancipation of enslaved Africans and their descendants, even though both revolutions challenged established power systems.

Both were fueled by Enlightenment ideals of liberty and equality, sparking mass uprisings against oppressive rulers. However, while the French Revolution aimed at overthrowing the monarchy and establishing a republic, the Haitian Revolution wanted to stop slavery and gain independence from colonial rule. the French Revolution unfolded in a relatively stable European nation, while the Haitian Revolution occurred in a Caribbean colony marked by extreme racial and social divisions. Despite these problems, both revolutions reshaped their societies and influenced global movements for freedom and equality.

The american colonists wanted to be free from britain control while the french wanted to get rid of their oppressive king. Both revolutions were inspired by enlightenment ideas like freedom and equality, and they both created new social codes focusing on individual rights and limits on government power. But the causes, goals, and outcomes of the two revolutions were different. The american revolution started because of issues like unfair taxes , aiming to form an independent republic based on democracy. the french revolution started because of economic struggles, social inequality, and anger towards the monarchy, aiming for a legal monarchy but ending up with a republic and a period of violence. in the end the american revolution led to a stable democratic republic, while the french revolution resulted in political chaos, the rise of Napoleon, and several changes in government before things settled down. Both revolutions shared a desire for freedom and equality, but they had various reasons, goals, and results. -maria jamal

Sara Sinno 8-0

The French and American revolutions both altered history, and the fate of their countries. Both revolutions had numerous similarities and differences. Their similarities include both of them being motivated by ideas of the enlightenment and freedom, both sought to overthrow the monarchy, and both began due to inflation and taxes because of the Seven Years' War. The American Revolution began when the British Empire attempted to tax the North American colonies in order to pay off their debt after the Seven Years War, however, this did not sit right with the North American colonies resulting in numerous riots and protests such as the Boston Tea Party. The French Revolution began when people began complaining about the absurd taxes they had to pay, so they decided to revolt against them. Both revolutions concluded in gaining new political systems. Despite these similarities, they were different in the nature of their revolutions, the American Revolution was a war and the French Revolution was mainly protests and riots, and although both of the revolutions ended in new political systems, they were different systems, the French Revolution it ended with a new monarchy and the American revolution ended with gaining independence.

In both the French and American revolutions, people fought and protested. Both societies sought for individual rights and were based on wanting liberty, ideas of enlightenment, and justice. Both revolutions also happened sometime in the 17th century. American’s were also charged taxes just like some people in the French. Meaning both revolutions were also influenced by taxes as well. Although the difference is that French Revolution was mainly about people being unhappy with bad leadership, while in the America’s people wanted to be free from the British and have independence, and basically the Americans did not want to be controlled any further. -Leen 8O

Lea Manasfi

8-o

The French Revolution and the American Revolution were both about fairness and freedom, but they started for different reasons. The American Revolution happened because the colonists wanted to be free from British rule and didn't want to pay taxes without having a say in the government. They wanted their own fair system without a king telling them what to do. On the other hand, the French Revolution began because people were treated unfairly - some were rich while many were poor, and the king had too much power. The French wanted to get rid of the king's absolute rule, the special treatment of the nobles, and the unequal sharing of money and power. These reasons led to different outcomes for each country, shaping their futures in unique ways.
