This quote is saying the only reason you didn't go to hell was because God gave you another chance. I feel like this quote could be looked at in two ways though. I see it as God making you go through hell again by making you relive a whole new life. Either way it represents God re birthing you once again.

This quote is a more uplifting writing about God giving a second chance. Its saying how his hand has held you up, and he sees the good in you to give a second chance to.
