The prime minister of Canada, Mckenzie King had a goof relationship with the U.S before WW2 began. When the war broke out, Canada released the War measures Act that gave the government authority to do anything necessary for Canada to succeed. As a result waged and prices froze and from 1942, the sugar, meat, gasoline, rubber, and coffee were rationed. Diplomatically, the Ogdensburg Agreement was made in August of 1940, for the US and Canada to plan for mutual defense. Similarly, the Permanent Joint Board on Defense, citizens and military officials would come to mutually agreed strategies to fight anyone against them.
