Grateful for how hard everyone (students too) tried to make it work this year...all the attention to people's humanity....It made me feel more connected to this community in the best possible way...and also the limitations actually made me pare down what I did with students to a more essential version of my curriculum that I think really worked well and was more valuable...I thought harder and more reflectively about my teaching than I have in several years (because I was so concerned about how it would work in all virtual), and I really think that necessity actually yielded a much richer experience not just for the students, but for me as well (it always works that way, but sometimes I need help remembering the reciprocal nature of this interaction with students!)
