We think Melissa Mann had botulism. We think this because botulism appears when canned goods are stored improperly or are dented. If a canned food is dented it is most likely not safe to eat because botulism is probably present. She definitely had botulism because the chef said that the can of green beans had dents and that it was the last one in the back of the kitchen. It could've been prevented by not serving her green beans when they realized the can was dented.

In the investigation we've come to the conclusion that Shane had E. Coli. Shane ate undercooked hamburger. He also had symptoms that corresponded with the symptoms for E. Coli, such as nausea, vomiting, and headache. This could have been prevented if the cook cooked the burger correctly. Also if Shane noticed something about the burger looking undercooked he could've said something about it to a cook or server and got it fixed.

We think Eric had Staphylococcus due to eating a hotdog from a Cafe. The Cook stated that the hotdog was two days past the expiration date when he gave it to Eric. He also said that there was no smell and a little discoloration. We think it was Staphylococcus due to some of the symptoms that he was having. It could have been prevented if the cook would have just thrown out the old expired hotdogs and used a new pack.
