I think the tone of the author is very convicting but in terms of the mood or the way it makes the reader feel it seems mostly lighthearted. If read it only one time you might actually miss the tone which Mrs. Parkkonen has said many times in class. I believe that the author is trying to convey a very serious tone it seems like she is trying to show the flaws in humanity and many of our systems that we have made. Much unlike the mood which I have already said seems very childish and lighthearted.

In the book To Kill A Mockingbird the mood and tone changes many times throughout the book. The mood, as we dive deeper into the book, the mood seems very racist. The tone, however, reflects Harper Lees thoughts about the book. An example of this is when Scout goes on a rant inside her head about racism. This is a small tidbit of information that lets us see into the mind of the author. We see that she is quite disgusted by this racism, and she is very serious about this. I just want to ramble a little bit more so that I can beat the length of Tims :)
