Firstly, people would lose their sense of togetherness. What is more, not every job allows for a volatile work schedule. Finally, even if flexibility is possible, it does not necessarily mean one would be more productive, due to the management difficulties. I am aware that if one can adapt to such conditions, flexi-time could indeed be beneficial. However, it would not be profitable to all. In other words, flexitime could, in rare cases, lead to an increase in productivity.
