Title : Writing Skills for P5/6 English

Subject Area : English Language

Synopsis : This project aims to achieve two main objectives. One is to help pupils plan, organise and expland their plot or build their characters in their writing to make their narrative more interestinh and purposeful. Second is to empower teachers with the confidence and resources to teach writing mindfully and explicitly. These objectives are met with the invention of a writing toolkit for pupils which teachers use as a teaching resource, coupled with their own expertise in teaching writing as a form of productive skill. While the project is ongoing, teachers often meet to discuss on what works and what doesn't. The sharing of knowledge and practices in the teaching of writing enhances teachers' competency in the subject matter, increases their interest and boosts their confidence.

Presenters:

The missing gaps between the pictures resulted in readers having a weak understanding of the story. Good writers uses “links” (which will not be found from the pictures) at the end of each paragraph to signal readers that the story is moving onto the next picture.
