The core reason for students to lack interest in these kind of
events are:

Students nowadays are self-obsessed and have more personal goals rather than to put thought of others in front
of them.

People always have feelings of jealousy so try to pull others legs down rather than uplifting themselves in a better
manner.

The final reason I think is that people in this generation first always thinks about the end result rather than the process
or fulfillment of the journey.

Recognize them for their contributions.
2) Offer incentives: Offering students small incentives makes
learning fun and motivates students to push themselves.
3) Get creative: Teach through games and including more
creative things will make help them to involve in this activity.
4) Exposing them to more Real life and showing them the how
society actually work.
