Atticus Finch, from To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, represents individualism, because he stays true to himself and his values throughout the entire book. Everyone else in the town thought it was a crime to defend African Americans, but Atticus did it anyways because he knew it was right. Atticus's sense of individualism is what led him to not listen to anyone else and just do what he knew was right.
