1) Rebecca VanMeter-Brown, Dr. VanMeter, Dr. V., Rebecca
2) You're looking at it, the beach!
3) A dolphin because they have no natural enemies, they like to have fun and play, and are social animals.
4) Champagne! My birthday is Dec. 31st so I just feel like it's supposed to be a thing, plus it is really exciting to your pallet every time you take a sip!
5) Wife: I've been married to my husband since 2016.
6) Mother: I've been a bonus mom from jump (Trenton 9, Bailey 5) and I have had two birth daughters (Reese 2.5 years, Reagan 1.5 years).
7) Christian: I love my church, Northview Church, and it's philosophy of "connecting people with God, connecting people with people".
8) Traveler: I love to travel and was able to add two states, Utah and Arizona, this summer when we did a cross-country road trip to Cali. I hate riding in the car, so this was a feat for many reasons.
9) Thoughtful: It is very rewarding to make someone else's day, so I'm constantly looking for little ways to show love to those around me (usually it is through giving them a meal unexpectedly).
10) A great sense of pride in the learning that takes place and helping you all to grow both as individuals and as critical thinkers.
11) Life without a mask.
Here's a picture from my road trip to Cali this summer. This picture is from Moab, Utah. It was a spectacular site to see.

I look forward to meeting each of you!! Cheers to a great semester.

1) Adam Dupps
2) My farm in beautiful Bright, IN @brightciderworks :)
3) I never had a spirit animal...maybe a caveman or something more utilitarian?
4) I'm not familiar with this concept either but if I had to pick something, I'd go with cider because it's great to have just one or a whole bunch and it pairs well with a lot of foods.
5) Family - this is the most important thing to me. All decision-making is centered around advancing the family brand.
6) Driver - I have a driving personality; borderline imposing sometimes but I get things done.
7) Builder - I thrive on creating things and building things. I love diving into projects and seeing them come to life from start to finish.
8) Eccentric - defined: unconventional and slightly strange; which I think describes my social style.
9) Homebody - I love being home at the farm; working on a home improvement project, mowing the grass, playing with the kids, walking through the woods, fishing in the pond, tending the orchards and gardens, and just relaxing.
10) * What is different about the simulation in this course compared to the 505 course? I'm curious because the simulation supplement seemed very eerily familiar in concept and it referenced only four quarters.
* I'm curious to learn more about the surveys and what the purpose is behind them. They are incredibly useful tools which aren't used enough, in my opinion.
11) What are you looking forward to most once Covid-19 lock downs are over? Somewhat contradicting the homebody adjective I listed, I miss Oktoberfests and festivals and fairs. I love the food and drink, the games, the music, the events, the people. For years, my wife and I have kept a list of all of the events going on within about a two hour drive and we would typically make it to most of them every year. Unfortunately this year nearly everything has been cancelled which has affected our family time.

1) Matthew Palecki (Matt)
2) Outer Banks in North Carolina
3) A Polar Bear- it was my college mascot and they’re often respected for their strength and ability to persevere in the face of adversity (like harsh winters).
4) An “Arnold Palmer”- it’s super versatile and can be drank at a beach, on a golf course, on a deck, and with or without alcohol so its enjoyable anywhere and everywhere.
5) Friendly- I enjoy meeting new people and hearing different perspectives. Ironically, I’m a little bit more of introvert at first but once I learn and meet people I tend to open up more.
6) Motivated- I always try and do my best with whatever I happen to be doing. I’ve never been the most talented at something, so I’ve always had to make up for what I may lack in skill with my work ethic.
7) Caring- I pride myself on being a person a friend can come to with anything and to that end, I like to think I’m a good listener for them.
8) Active- I’ve always enjoyed sports and outdoor activities for as long as I can remember. I played college basketball and enjoy golfing, hiking, and (occasionally) running.
9) Tall- I’m 6’6” so there isn’t too much more to say there!
10) None right now
11) Being able to host friends at my apartment and eat inside at restaurants.
Picture: Me coaching my college’s basketball team. I volunteer as an assistant coach in the winter for my alma mater, Bowdoin College.

1) Meghan Underwood
2) My Uncle's Lake House, Chicago, or anywhere with my family.
3) My spirit animal would probably have to be a giraffe. They gentle, kind, perceptive/intuitive, practical and creative.
4) My spirit drink would probably be hot chocolate. To personify this drink: it provides comfort, adapts, supports, and is empathetic to the needs of others (in regards to being able to customize it to your needs through adding marshmallows, peppermint, chocolate, etc. or milk vs. water), and provides a warm hug when you're feeling "cold" (aka feeling down).
5) Laker: I have spent a lot of summers at my Uncle's lake house. I enjoy tubing, swimming, reading a book out on the pier, driving the boats, riding a waverunner/jetski, and wakeboarding. I also enjoy spending time with my family here. My uncle's wife is from Bolivia, so sometimes her family comes to visit and bring a lot of fun and dancing!
6) Empathetic/Kind: Naturally I have always been empathetic and kind. I always share kindness and try to make people's day better.
7) Whole-Brained (creative and logical): I am a whole-brained thinker and hands-on learner. I enjoy being creative regularly by painting, drawing, and other forms of creating art. Sometimes the way I show my creativity is by trying to think outside of the box. I also enjoy learning and growing intellectually.
8) Athletic: I've been playing sports since I was little. Soccer is my favorite sport and I have been playing it since I was 4. I also referee soccer at my local youth sports league (played in as a child) since I was 13.
9) Hardworking: I enjoy working hard and feeling a sense of accomplishment when I complete a task.
10) No outstanding questions
11) I am looking forward to seeing my grandparents again and being able to hug them and all of my other family members again.
**This photo is the last photo I took of myself before COVID-19 and campus closing.**

1. Madison Kiser; Madison
2. Colorado. I absolutely love hiking and the mountains. I also grew up spending a lot of time and taking road trips to Colorado with my family.
3. Goats. I was raised on a farm in a small town in Indiana. We had about every farm animal, but the goats were my favorite. I love how energetic and upbeat they are while also being very sweet and goofy.
4. Apple cider. My favorite season is Fall and I love going to pumpkin patches and apple orchards. Apple cider is simple and delicious.
5. Leader. I am one of the oldest this year on the Ball State Track Team and looking forward to helping mentor, guide, and push our underclassmen to be the best.
6. Loyal. I grew up in a very small town but with a really big family. Through sports and relationships I have learned how important it is to be loyal to your people.
7. Adventurous. I love traveling and visiting places I have never been to before. I hope to travel to Europe after I finish my MBA.
8. Creative. My major hobbies when I am not able to travel include reading and writing. I write articles quite frequently and look forward to writing a book one day.
9. Believer. My entire college story has been flipped upside down when I found my faith and began following Jesus my sophomore year. My story began at the University of Louisville where I was a mid-distance runner on the track team. My plan throughout college was to always go to a Power 5 school and run at a high level, but God had a different plan. After months of pneumonia and a broken back, I transferred to Ball State to continue to run and make my way back. My friends always say, "When you give God your plans, He gives you Muncie".
10. I do not have any outstanding questions for this course.
11. I am really looking forward to seeing my grandparents again and being able to have large family cookouts.

1. Kaleb Slaven
2. The lake during the summer. My family and I have been lake goers ever since I could really remember. Its always such a good time out on the water with family and friends.
3. A Lion. I think the overall presence of a lion, including its fierceness and fearlessness is what would make me choose this animal. Along with the fact that they have no natural predators which makes for a much less stressful life.
4. Beer, specifically Bud Light if we are talking domestic. There's only thing better than a refreshing beer, and that would be free beer.
5. Athletic - I've been an athlete my entire life. I would say it has shaped me into the person I am today. Sports and competition have been something I have been involved with ever since I could remember.
6. Intelligent - I'd like to think of myself as an intelligent person, or at least try to seem that way when I have to.
7. Outgoing - Engaging in various activities, whether that be socially, physically or mentally, is something I would say I am always willing to do. I'm the type that is always looking for the next move, whether that be simply hanging with friends or spending a fun night out on the town.
8. Empathetic - I use the word empathetic because I feel like I can relate to people differently than others. I was born into a diverse environment and have been able to relate to different people on so many different levels.
9. Trustworthy - My friends and family know I always have their back and I take pride in having people's trust. That is something that is very important to me.
10. No questions at this time, the introduction video seemed to cover mostly everything for the course in a broad sense.
11. I'm looking forward mostly to a normal way of life again. For example, things such as sporting events, schooling, social life, etc. The ways we have had to adjust to this pandemic has effected so many people differently and I'm hoping we can go back to the old norm. Above all else, I'm ready to play football again.

They are also part of what I did my undergraduate research on.

4. Rum and coke for sure. Rum always makes me think of pirates and thus the beach and the ocean, which is one of my favorite places to go in general .

5. Relaxed – I am not one to be stressed very often.

6. Adventurous – I have been to several countries with Italy and Thailand being my favorite. Hopefully Greece is up next, although who knows when travel with start back up.

7. Learner – I love school and learning. In addition to this MBA program, I am also learning some Italian and plan to go back to school after completion of this MBA.

8. Hard-working/Driven – I have a good work ethic and typically spend lots of time working or on school. I have many goals that I want to accomplish and have plans *mostly* laid out for them.

9. Sportsy – I love sports. I played college tennis, and I love watching and playing most other sports, especially basketball.

10. None at this time. I took your intro class, so I understand the structure of the class.

11. Traveling! Anytime I can be outside doing just about anything I am enjoying myself.
3. Dog, it seems right just because one minute they can be full of energy for absolutely no reason, then 2 minutes later can be fast asleep.
4. Whiskey and ginger ale, it doesn't sit heavy in your stomach like coke normally does, also it normally keeps you feeling better the next day.
5. helpful - a friend asks for help you help them
6. kind - I always try to be kind to everyone, although people can test my patience sometimes
7. hardworking - I always try as hard as I can in what I am doing
8. tired - I could fall asleep while talking to you, I have done this multiple times
9. friendly - basically goes along with being kind, I try and be a friend to everyone because you never know what people are going through maybe you just need to listen once in a while
10. I'm just wondering what the overall take away from the class will be once it is over, very interested to see how it goes.
11. Looking forward to just having a big party with all my friends, haven't been able to see all of them since the quarantine has started.
