I some places where the copper red has changed color I see some crazing.

For the interior, exterior, and inside I used the clear/transparent glaze. I did the dipping method for this piece. I also used "fire engine red" underglaze for the veins. I dipped the whole piece in transparent glaze so it has the same glaze for inside and outside. Then I applied rutile on two small areas over the glaze.

There are so many things I'd like to change about this piece. First, I would be more careful when building the body. The bottom exploded during bisque firing, either because it was too wet/thick (which I doubt) or because I pressed and tried to reshape it when it was already too dry. Second, I would apply thinner glaze over sgraffito, maybe by brushing. Although I used transparent, it still made the design under it very blurry. Third, I would color desired part with underglaze/oxide before applying the glaze. After dipping in the glaze it was impossible to figure out the exact part I wanted to put extra color.

When dipping it into the transparent glaze there were a lot of small bubbles, I expected them to go away and they didn't. I would find a way to avoid that in the future, maybe making sure the vase isn't dusty before dipping? I also used the blue oxide and I think in the future when using the oxide I will either just sprinkle dots of it or use it very generously, I don't like the in between. Finally, I did an ombre with my slip, going from green to white, and I won't do that in the future. I really like the intense white sgraffito with the bright green, and the designs get lost when it fades to white. I like brighter and more intense colors with my clay, with that piece especially i think some brighter purples and greens would have looked nice. The glaze I used was transparent glaze which I hand dipped and then the design itself depicts vines and eaten leaves (showing traces of a caterpillar) around the entire pot with minimal spots of red slip on some of the vines. 6. Firing evaluation: I noticed the glaze cracked which I did not like. I glazed the inside honey yellow and outside with transparent glaze. It came out more blue than I thought and the sgraffito wasn't as pronounced as I wanted it to be, so next time I would probably wait for the piece to be a little more drier and use a different tool. For one of them I decided to use the navy blue glaze and for the other I also used navy blue but then washed it off and used transparent to create a lighter blue color.
