It is about a guy name Louie he goes threw many things in life. When Louie was younger he would steel and even start steeling when he was older he did not have the best future going for him since he would do bad things and he did not do anything with his life. Until his brother Pete helped him discover his passion witch was running and after that he finally has something to do with his life and that was running. He was very good and was very motivated and was very focused on becoming a better runner and eventually he did and he became a top runner broke records made records and made people very proud of him. He then after was getting ready for the Olympics until a tragedy happened after that tragedy he stopped running and joined the air force it all went down hill after that. The plane he was on for battle had got in to a plane crash but he survived. After that he was stranded on a raft with two other people for a long time learning how to survive an figuring out what to eat this day and trying not get harmed by the animals in the ocean. Then after they found land Louie was captured he survived being stranded but he was captured by the japense and would get beaten someday not eat and this man name bird would torture him. He did stay motivated and never gave up and after all of that after 2 years he was home but he would always have nightmares about the man bird in his dream thinking about what bird had done to him and Louie would get more frustrated. He would ending up finding a love having a child his lover name was Cynthia she would get harmed by Louie in his sleep and eventually moved out. After that Louie stooped having dreams about bird and grew as a person having a house and having the best possible relationship with his lover Cynthia and there child. When it comes down to it I feel that Louie is a flat character because he had many different sides to him in the story. At one point of the story he was a trouble maker and then at the other point of the story he was a leader for example when they were stranded on the raft Louie took leadership to try to get food and try help to survive. Then there was at one point of the story where Louie was a motivated person.
