I chose this song because it is one of my favorite songs that I can never get sick of listening to. This song is very exciting and makes
me happy when I listen to the music being played. This song talks about a little boy and a girl and how they have accomplished their dreams by believing and taking chances. I can relate to this song because I have dreams and I am believing in myself and making my dreams come true. This song is telling me that as long as you believe in yourself and you try hard then you can accomplish what you set out to do. This song is very inspirational for me and I just love how upbeat and positive it is. Anytime I hear this song come on the radio or when it plays on my phone I turn it up and sing along because the song puts me in a good mood.

Beat: When I listen to the song and tapped my foot the beat sounds steady throughout the whole song.

Tempo: The tempo seems pretty consistent through the whole song with a medium pace.

Meter: The song feels like the first and the second beats are the strong ones. The meter for this song is 3/4.

Rhythm: There is a steady rhythm that is used through the song but there are also different ones that are
played. The song starts with an introduction rhythm then moves to the steady rhythm that is used throughout the song. After the chorus and before the second verse there is a different rhythm and then it goes back to the consistent rhythm. Once again the rhythm changes for the instrumental solo and then goes back to the original rhythm.

Harmony:

There are a number of different instruments and a main person singing and another backup singer within the song that gives it a great harmony. I believe that my harmony is a rhythmic ostinato where the rhythmic pattern is repeated like where they say "go on give it a try". Within the song it sounds like the song is monophonic because there is only one vocal section at a time and there are never two people singing at the same time.

Timbre:

Within my song I hear a number of different instruments including the drums, a guitar, a violin and a keyboard. All of these instruments played together give the song a very cheerful upbeat feel. I believe with all the parts together the song sounds very happy and it makes me feel like I want to get up and dance or sing along. One singer is very energetic and makes me want to dance along and the other guy who says "go on give it a try" makes me want to sing along.
