It has been celebrated annually since 1810. One of the first Oktoberfest was the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria with Princess Therese on October 12, 1810. The Oktoberfest has attracted millions of visitors every year over the past few decades. More and more guests come from abroad, mainly from Italy, the USA, Japan and Australia. For several years there has been a trend towards traditional costumes: many Oktoberfest visitors come in lederhosen. There are many rides at the Oktoberfest, e.g. Ferris wheel etc The average number of visitors annually is just over six million. At the Oktoberfest there is very good German beer: Lager, IPA and Pilsner
