Then I'd release students to finish their GIST notes on their own, come together and compare notes with a small group, helping each other fill in the blanks. Later I could assign topics to groups and two members of a group could have a conversation about that topic with one or two of the top ten as their focus. The other group members could critique the convo, specifically helping the speakers with the areas they wanted to focus on.
