- In my Weight Lifting class in high school, the educator would demonstrate the proper way to lift weights. This is an example of active learning because we were not just thrown out there we were told to observe our teacher and try to replicate what he did.
- I see this being used in my Elementary Math 1481 class, because we are being taught how to memorize math techniques rather than, actually learning the math. I would say this is a poor use of active learning in the classroom.

- My ENGL 1010 professor sure to use examples of things we had gone through personally. For example, our first essay was on how we formed our relationships with English and Literature. This made it easier to connect problems I may have had with school to my own life.
- In my Cultural Anthropology course, we are told to take quizzes as many times, but to take note what we know and don't know. This allows us to reflect on what we understand in the course.

- Last semester in my Elementary Math course, many of the students collaborated together after we went virtual. This made the transition from in person to online easier.
- My ENGL 2202 professor is making it a point to have us break into groups every couple weeks. I believe this will be beneficial to the classroom, because we will be able to have conversations with our peers on the topic.

- My ENGL 1020 professor made sure to connect our future careers to our work. For example, our last essay was on something you were interested in, pertaining to the education field. I was able to write about something I was authentically interested about.
- My Human Planet professor lets us choose an article to write on each week. This gives students freedom to have a choice on what they write about. If students get to have a choice then their work will be more authentic.

- I took a Contemporary Issues class during my sophomore and senior years of high school. Each time I took the class, I knew I wanted to educate. myself on the events going on today. I took the course with the goal of becoming more educated, so I could become an advocate of social change.
- I am taking Cultural Anthropology to become more educated in the field. This is very important to my degree since I will be teaching in an urban education setting.
