Well, I believe everyone should study mathematics no matter if you're an artist or not. On the other hand, being an artist doesn't mean you need to study mathematics, because art is about whatever you feel and how you express them through art form. To become a more structural or realistic artist, it may help to take math classes to understand how shapes form and the type of line form or outcome. Basically it is not needed, yet would be more useful for a well rounded artist

Yes because everything uses some type of mathematics. Also, in art you need to take into consideration of proportions or stuff similar to that which is considered a math.

I think someone who want to be an artist should study mathematics. I think this because there are so many mathematical elements in the different forms of art that trying to be an artist without studying math would prove more challenging and result in sub-par work. Studying math as an artist can create more cohesive pieces that have more value geometrically and expressively.

I do not think that somebody who wants to be an artist needs to study mathematics. I think this because art is all about perspective and creativity and therefore math does not need to be studied in order to be an artist. There are definitely mathematical concepts within art and if you study math you can understand them but they don't need to.

If somebody who wants to create more abstract art, then I feel like they should be more math-heavy, but if somebody wants to do realism or pointillism, then I feel like they should have a regular amount of math. I feel like there are concepts like lines and circles, and especially geometry that people need to know to go into abstract art.

In my opinion, someone who wants to study art doesn't necessarily need to study math as well. However it might be helpful for the future artist to study math because it can help their art. It can help artist make symmetric pieces, and build their credibility as an artist.

However, I think that most are is unpredictable and just goes with the flow, so math may not be needed in this case.

I believe that it is not completely necessary for someone to study math to become an artist if it is a certain type of art, such as abstract sculpting or an ethic art. I do, however, agree that if someone is making a type of art that requires prowess in geometry or another type of mathematically related subject, such as realistic art, then they should study art. It has been proven that 90% of people will be more attracted the a real piece of artwork rather than a fake counterpart if it uses real geometry.

If the person wants to go into an art containing mostly geometric shapes then I think that it would be a good idea to take a math class and even a physics class for that matter. However a lot of arts contain organic shapes and math can only simulate it with great difficulty and at that point it's just easier to practice drawing. But people could always take math classes to have a career if being an artist does not work out as it is a weirdly run job opportunity that could end in a fail if people have slightly different taste.
