One of the most popular of all the new deals. The CCC was a public relief program during 1933 - 1942. It was part of the New Deal that helped unemployed, unmarried men. From ages 17-28. This relieved a lot of families that struggled to find jobs during the Great Depression. 3 million people were involved in the CCC which provided them with shelter, food, clothes and a small wage. Also the CCC helped with the outdoors by reforesting. The CCC operated under army control.

Yes, the government providing the funding necessary for this program to work obviously helped America rise out of the Great depression due to the support on the young men.

People might have thought that this program was a waste of federal funding. And the focusing on young men could have been in the wrong way to approach this program but it ended out being for the good. Also thinking this deal was related to socialism.
