(Written by. Caroline Passaro from the last semester) The facilitation tool I explored was notability. Notability is an app that works best on an iPad and is good for taking notes in class, doing homework, and writing things out with either a stylus or your hand. There are a lot of different tools that can be used to make notes more manageable and easier to follow along with when studying or going over things from class. There are also a lot of different templates that Notability includes in the free version of their app, so you can have different things like a calendar, to-do list, homework, etc. all in one place.

The artifact I made for this tool was an example notebook if I utilized Notability daily. On the left side, I explored the calendar template that was given by Notability. In the calendar, I used the highlighter feature, the pen feature, the color-changing ink feature, the text box feature, the photo import feature, and the pencil feature. All of these tools allow the calendar to be colorful, neat, and practical. The features are very easy to use, and having a calendar that is consistently editable is a plus. The second page that I created was an example prompt for an English class. I was able to practice with the highlighter tool, the shape tool, and the pen tool, to make the homework easy to understand. All of these features make Notability user-friendly and good for students to use for their work.

(click on the white box above to access the link) Formative is a unique tool that serves the purpose of creating and administering assessments of any form. I selected the tool "Formative" because the Assessment portion of the textbook interested me the most, and I have never heard of Formative before. Using Formative, I created a multiple choice quiz that asks questions about me with the goal to get to know me. It was really interesting to use this tool, and it was unlike anything I have ever used before. I was able to create a multiple choice quiz, and give hints to each answer, set a 15 minute timer for the assessment, edit the start and due date, shuffle the answers so no student has the same order, and it gave me the option to let them see their results right after they have finished as well. This was so interesting to use, and I have created things like Google Forms before, but I found this to be way more detailed and advanced, and it gave me a lot of flexibility with my quiz. I would definitely recommend this tool to anyone because it is an easy and creative way to create quizzes or assessments in any format, such as multiple choice or short answer, to quiz your intended audience.

Noisli is a background noise tool that allows creations of unique sounscapes during studying, working, or sleeping. I selected this tool because as a student, I wear my airpods while studying or doing homeowork to mask out the background noise. Even though my airpods do an okay job, I would love to have a soothing noise playing in the background to increase my focus in whatever I am doing. I used this tool to create a sound that I enjoy listening to and helps me think. I made a relaxing sound with a hint of rain, blowing wind, leaves, water stream, and waves. This sound is amazing and I have started to use it ever since while I am working on assignments. This tool allows to experiment with different sounds such as blowing wind, rain, thunderstorms and lightning, forest, leaves, water stream, waves, bonfire, summer night, coffee shop, and trains. Different intensities of each sounds can be used to produce a noise that is most suitable for the ear. After making a sound that is soothing, it can be saved in favorites where you can listen to it later. Not only this, there is also a place where journals can be written as a place for thoughts and distractions. I recommend this tool for any students that are trying to study without any distractions.

Hello everyone!

I had the chance to explore and learn more about google forms and thought creating a quiz about tennis would be fun. I tried to mix up the question types so it could be more fun to take it and also learned that I could change the point value for each question. I'm sure that I will keep using this app in the future to create more fun and informative quizzes. Looking forward to seeing y'all responses and hope you all enjoy learning more about tennis!

One of my selections was survey tools because I wasn't familiar with any of the artifacts and have rarely ever made surveys. I wanted to learn more about this tool and found that SurveyMonkey is one of the most popular survey-making platforms in the world. I created a five-question survey about learning tools, which we have been focusing on in this class. Some questions require one choice, others can have multiple, and there are also text boxes to expand on answers. I found SurveyMonkey very easy and intuitive to use. There are a lot of other features on SurveyMonkey, but most of them are blocked behind a paid subscription. I do not have a need to create advanced subscriptions right now, but I now know which website to use if there ever comes a time when I need to. I have attached a link to my survey.

Brainscape was selected as I desired something similar to Quizlet, but had more of an interesting and interactive design. Brainscape utilizes something called smart flashcards, which are flashcards for studying, and unlike Quizlet, if you flip it over, it asks you to rate your confidence on that specific card. The platform then utilizes your confidence and creates a deck that is suited for studying more difficult subjects and topics. This was very interesting to me, as I have never seen that in a learning platform. As I progressed, I grew fond of the tool as it is simple, but has all the necessary tools to create a useful study deck. I created a trivia knowledge flashcard deck on some of my interests with answers, as shown in the screenshot below. In the future, I plan to create study sets on finance topics for studying.

I initially selected this tool, Blooket, because I love quizzes and trivia-based websites. Within the site, I was able to creat a review quiz with my Risk Management lecture notes for my upcoming test. Additionally, a few of Blooket’s features I explored in detail were firstly the “My Sets” inorder to create my review quiz. Secondly, I used the “Stats” tab to keep track of total Blooks completed, Blooks Unlocked, and creating my Blooket character. To create and dress your Blooket character, you must complete a certain amount of Blook quizzes.
I feel like this website can be useful for others in their own majors. You can make quizzes and games that align with your specific study needs/materials.

When I was looking over the different tools within the textbook, the section over Classroom Management struck my eye. I believe that organization plays a key role in order to have a fully functioning classroom, not only for the teacher but for the students as well. When I was looking at the different tools mentioned in this section, ClassDojo looked very intriguing. I ended up creating an account and played around with the website. I created an example classroom with random names as seen above, and looked at the features this platform offers. One feature is a point scale allowing students points to either increase or decrease depending on the scenario, such as paying attention, tardy to class, interrupted the teacher, good teamwork, etc. This allows students to be engaged and aware of their behavior during school. Another feature allows the teachers to keep up with the student's attendance based on the following: present, absent, tardy, left school early. This is a great organization tool for teachers when it comes to attendance. Another technique this website gives is the opportunity for guardians to join the classroom and see their student's progress and also different announcements about school in general. Parents enjoy seeing how their child is doing during school, and they also like to get updates which is what this website can do. Overall, this platform is a great tool for teachers, students, and guardians all in different ways.

I chose I tryout Formative because the textbook mentioned that it uses AI technology and that is something that interests me when it comes to creating lesson plans and assessments. I chose to create a short quiz asking questions about the University of Georgia. This webpage has a plethora of different tools to help you create interesting assesments during class time. I would compare it to Kahoot but even more advanced in the best way possible. The AI feature was really interesting and helpful. It gave you options to give specific details in order to come up with the best AI-generated questions for what you are looking to ask. The webpage also included a summary for when you students complete the quiz using the code given in class, it will help the teachers get the most informative out of the students performances.

I chose to explore Google Forms! This is an application that I have used many times to fill out information, but I had never created one myself. I created short-answer questions to find out my classmates' favorite places in Athens. I thought it would be fun and interesting to see everyone's thoughts. I used the feature of changing the response type from multiple choice to short answer. Additionally, I was able to explore the features of sharing and viewing the responses.

For my first artifact, I chose to explore Google Forms because I have taken quizzes and surveys on Google Forms before, but have not made one myself yet. I believe that Google Forms is a quick and easy way to connect with students when teaching because the formatting is very simple to understand, and it is easily accessible. In Google Forms, teachers can use it to make quizzes, surveys, or even a way to take attendance by having students complete the form as he/she enters class. For my form, I chose to create a quiz about proffesional baseball. In the quiz I used a variety of true/false, multiple choice, and short answer questions which were all different feature that Google Forms offered. This allows the teacher to be able to customize his/her tests how they wish and adds a variety of features to the quiz. Once the quiz is completed, the teacher receives the answers via a spreadsheet and can grade them using that.

I chose Pomofocus! Being someone who struggles getting really burnt out when I spend hours and hours working and studying, this platform makes it so much more manageable! Even though 5 minutes is short, having a little break every 25 minutes seriously helps so much when it comes to not feeling so overwhelmed and brain dead after hours of homework and studying. I'm sure this can benefit all of us, as we all have those days where we seem to spend all hours of the day on the computer or in the library studying.

I chose to use JotForm. I have used Google Forms before and wanted to find a different and possibly better way to build surveys. I was able to create a form that includes a place where you can enter your name, a multiple choice question, a drop down question, a question with scrolling numbers, and also a place where you can submit a file. It was pretty easy to add different types of questions and very intuitive. It was also free and easy to make an account. There were a lot of other features that were also available and seemed fairly easy to use as well.

For my first artifact, I used Microsoft PowerPoint to create a digital marketing analytics strategy for one of my classes. Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program that goes beyond reading a textbook. Overall, it is very easy to use and offers multiple default templates for students that want to save time but still want to make their presentation look professional. However, I was also able to ways that students can creatively customize their slides. For example, a student could use photos related to their presentation as the background of their slides. Instead of using a plain white background, I used photos of tropical environments because I was making a digital marketing analytics strategy for Ladera Resort, a luxury hotel near a beach. Simple changes in detail like this elevate a presentation and help students facilitate meaningful learning, especially those who are visual learners.

I chose to make a presentation on the types of government. The end of the lesson has the link to a review Kahoot. The book had a link to a variety of templates. It would also be easy for me to share the presentation with my students. This would allow them to follow along and write other notes that they can review later. I think presentations are the best way to introduce new information. They provide a visual and are paired with an explanation from the instructor. I also tried to make the presentation simple with only the key concepts listed. I feel like powerpoints that have a lot of words can sometimes be overwhelming for students.

For my artifact I pasted a screenshot of a question that Formative generated based off the guidelines I entered. I found this site interesting because it can generate questions for all different kinds of courses. It asks you to enter the prompt, course, grade level, difficulty, and language. From there it generates some questions that you can approve or make easier or harder by selecting it to regenerate the question. This site was free of charge and makes it simple when creating an account. Students can also create an account or use a code to answer the question. From there the questions are graded immediately and shown on the teacher's account. I thought this resource could be helpful for teachers whether it be creating an exam or asking participation questions in class.

Prezi: For my second artifact I will be using prezi. Using this site you are able to create awesome visual presentations for projects. I'll create a visually appealing and fun presentation on the American Revolution. Using the software I will be able to show a timeline of events leading up to the revolution interactively. I will also be able to better show how one event leads to another with zoomable pictures, maps, and documents.

I selected this tool because it is hard for students to retain information and facts from visually boring presentations. Having moving transitions, zooming in and out of pictures, and moving through what appears to be a timeline is an amazing way for students to view presentations. Especially those about history! I was able to find many awesome prezi presentations on the Revolutionary War as well as other historically important events. One of the features I explored in detail is the timeline presentation effect of prezi. This visually makes it seem as if you are jumping from event to event in history.

For my artifact, I used canva to create a small scale marketing campaign for the existing company "Penn Fishing". I created it by uploading a picture I found on the web of a fisherman using Penn's product. I then created text boxes and wrote a brief summary about Penn and what my marketing campaign would be about. The reason I chose canva is because of the design features that it has compared to it's counterparts google slides and powerpoint. Canva has much better design features like branding, drawing tools, graphic designs, and accessibility features.

For my artifact, I chose to utilize Google Forms. I had never made a google form before this, I had only every filled them out. This Google Form’s purpose is to measure the customer satisfaction for the online ordering website of the company that I work for. My first step was to design the questions, then I implemented them into the form, making sure to use a variety of question types. I chose Google Forms over Mailchimp because Google Forms was more usable without having to pay for additional content. I feel that it turned out well, and I will try to send it to my boss to see if it is viable to send to customers.

For my second artifact, I chose to create a Google Form. I have always taken surveys and quizzes and answered questions on forms, but i have never made one personally for myself. I think google forms is a great way to get instant feedback from your students to either see they're progress or see what they're missing out on. Google forms is also a great platform for your students to ask questions on what they don't understand and gives them an opportunity to give you feedback on what you might need to give more information about. For my artifact, the form is a series of multiple choice questions based on College Softball. There were different features such as short answer, multiple choice, and true false questions that I discovered. As soon as all the students have answered the questionnaire, the answers come through on a spread sheet and thats where the teacher can see all of her students responses.

My Second artifact is a screenshot of the tool Notability that is available on mobile devices. I downloaded it on my iPad as a way to take any kinds of notes. The screenshot that I have depicts a weekly planner with some of my stuff going on this week. I liked Notability because it has the option to have plenty of different themes and templates for several different scenarios. This kind of tool can not only be applied to the classroom, but for simple organization as well.

For my second artifact I chose an Emaze Survey. I selected this tool because I had never heard of Emaze or used it, and I thought it would be interesting to try something so new. I decided to make a Survey about colors and their color groups and it was a very easy process. The survey functions with 5 different types of questions ranging from multi-choice to long answer. I explored these different functions by trying out different types of questions, and then testing it by taking the survey in a preview mode. When making this survey I didn't run into any challenges, just noticed a little less customization than other sites like Canva I have used in the past. I was able to work easily making questions but struggled with design and photo changes. Overall, I enjoyed working with this tool and made a survey very quickly. Moving forward with this tool I would have to spend some extra time learning all the specialty functions to fully customize my work.

I am sharing what I have learned from the Microsoft Outlook Calendar. This is a video that helped me understand and explore the features in the Microsoft Outlook Calendar. This is the first app I looked into because I thought with me using Outlook for email this could help me link my school and work life to an efficient calendar and come to find out it is extremely helpful. I enjoyed learning about the features and I am excited to learn many more.

I created a Kahoot because I did it when I was really young but I never made one myself. I think it is a great learning strategy and it is very engaging. When I was younger, I loved doing kahoots and thats what I looked forward to in class when my teacher would say that we were doing one the day before. It is also very competitive but at the same time you are learning so its a win win. Overall, Kahoot is a very good application and has been for a long time.

I decided to create a presentation about my senior trip. Since my friends and I are planning a trip after graduation, I thought it would be a cool idea to create a powerpoint with polls embedded. I chose Socrative because of the interesting layout and the fun look and name of the "space race." I really loved this because I like video games, and it gave me the opportunity to connect gaming and my academics. With this I put in some answers to a recent homework of mine and played along trying to 'compete' against myself. This really reminded me of top hat, which I use in one of my classes. I really enjoy the layout and the ease of use of Socrative, however.

For my second artifact I used was resources for kids who have experience trauma and how to handle it all. I really loved it because it made me think about the lack of resource knowledge some kids have about this kind of stuff. Some kids may not even know that they've experienced trauma without resources like this, so I think it is super important as teachers to understand and be able to support kids in this way.

For my artifact, I used Canva to create business goals and objectives for a marketing campaign for the company "Ulta Beauty ". I created it by uploading a picture I found on the web of Ulta Beauty Collection products and their mission statement. I then created text boxes and wrote a brief summary about the goals and objectives of my campaign. The reason I chose Canva instead of tools such as powerpoint and google slides, is because of the numerous creative features that you can use to design your presentation. For my second artifact, I got more familiar with Notability and using my new Apple Pencil. There is definitely a learning curve to getting used to writing with a stylist. I believe this tool is limited to its users since it is best used on an iPad, but its features of detail and accuracy are unbeatable for laptop notes. But overall, this app offers many tools to express many different aspects in the academic, personal, or social realm. I am excited to keep on exploring!

This video helped me learn how to navigate through the website and find tips and tricks to most effectively be using the resource. I chose the Note Taking Facilitation tool to explore because I am a digital notetaker. As a student, I rely heavily on platforms like Google Docs, Notion, Good Notes, One Note, and Google Drive to type and store my notes for class and extracurriculars. I chose to explore the Note-taking tool, Google Keep because as much as I enjoy taking notes, I have not had any experience using Google Keep. I liked how the platform was set up to act as a digital sticky note wall. Google Keep has features such as typing searchable notes, drawing, collecting screenshots, scanning documents, and attaching files. Google Keep reminds me a lot of the notion platform that I currently use. As seen in my artifact I played around a lot with the features that Google Keep offers and I created a to-do list for the week, drew pictures for Valentine's Day, and set a reminder that will notify me of my test this week an hour before. I plan on utilizing this tool more for my personal notes, instead of academic notes.

I chose Kahoot. I have played it once or twice at UGA International coffee hour, but it is my first time to make it. This time, I created 5 Japanese word quizzes, but this tool can be used in many ways. One of the good points is that a creator can change its contents or its level easily. Therefore, if teachers notice that many students seem to try hard on quizzes, they can add other quizzes that are proper level for them in short time.

The tool I chose to explore was Noisli. I chose to explore this productivity and planning facilitation tool because as a busy student, I want to try different techniques to boost my planning, productivity, and organization. While I initially thought I wanted to explore more calendar and scheduling tools, I came across the Noisli tool, which peaked my interest. Noisli is a white-noise generator that allows you to make custom background sounds to block out surrounding distractions and increase productivity, while you work on a computer.

Noisli offers a feature where you can create custom sounds using various environmental noises such as fire and rain, set a timer for studying, and take notes with the notes page. As seen above, I created a custom sound for me to play when I am feeling productive. I will use this sound to aid in my studying and independent work. I was able to curate my to-do list for Monday, February 12th while I listened to the sound I created. I am glad that I discovered this platform, and I will be utilizing it now throughout the rest of the semester.

I think Kahoot would be a very useful tool to my fellow classmates. It is a great way to study for an exam and mimics the format of a multiple choice test very well. It is also interactive so you can play with multiple people and other classmates. The leaderboard and timer promote healthy competition and make you strive to do your best. The image feature is also very helpful and can help you make connections with the material if you are more of a visual learner.
