Before my family got this our dog got out once in the middle of the night and we couldn't find her(luckily she came back), so my family decide to get a pet fence.

Peck was worried by all the stray dogs and decided to invented a fence that is wirelessly connected to the dogs collar to prevent them from escaping. He called the product Stay-Put, but it didn't sell much until he sold the patent to John Purtell in 1976. Purtell changed the name to Invisible Fence until 1993 when he sold the company. In 2002 Purtell joined Pet Stop and is one of the biggest competitors in the industry.
