In order to find out if it matches any of the suspects, the hair will be compared to suspects' hair samples.
Procedure: A sample of the unknown human hair was put on a wet mound on a slide. A cover slip was put on top the the hair and it was analyzed under a microscope. Then all the suspects' hair was analyzed in order to narrow down the suspects.
Conclusion: The unknown hair sample matched up with Mark, Larry, and Zennia.

In order to determine what animal the sample comes from, observe the medulla and scale patterns of the hair under a microscope.
Procedure: The unknown animal hair sample was analyzed against known animal hair samples to try and identify the animal. 
Conclusion: This matches with the scale and medulla patterns of a cat.
Data: The sample had a stacked medulla and coronal scales.

Procedure:
-  Use naked eye to identify characteristics
- Look for specific characteristics such as line quality, spacing, size consistency, font, etc.
- Compare crime scene note to handwriting samples from suspects.
Results:  After analyzing the handwriting samples and matching characteristics to the crime scene note, the suspect whose handwriting matched the note was Mark. The general observations that matched were small font, bold, italicized,
matching "t", "e", and "a". Mark's handwriting sample resembled the crime scene note better than the other suspects' handwriting samples.

Procedure:
- Put powder in a test tube, fill with water, and stir until it is determined if solution is insoluble or soluble
-  If insoluble, mix powder with iodine. Deep blue means unknown substance is starch, if brown, substance gets mixed with vinegar. Bubbles mean unknown is CaCO3, no bubbles is CaSO4.
- If soluble, mix unknown with sodium hydroxide. White precipitate means unknown is MgSO4. If there is no precipitate, mix substance with vinegar. No bubbles means substance is fructose. If bubbles are present, unknown substance is NaHCO3. 
Results: Once substance was put in water, it was insoluble. It was later mixed with iodine. The color was brownish which meant the solution had to be mixed with vinegar next. No bubbles were present so the unknown substance is identified as CaSO4 (plaster of Paris).

Procedure: under a magnifying glass each print was examined for matching ridge characteristics then pointed out, numbered and classified.
Data: One fingerprint matches 8 ridge characteristics to zennia  another 8 ridge characteristics matches to the second print found to be Mark's.
Conclusion: Fingerprints found at the scene match to both Mark and Zennia.

They had gone into the consolidated ceramics corporation with a plan to steal the money that was said to have been kept in a safe on the premises. Mark started looking for the safe and ended up smashing most of the statues and spilling the vials of color in frustration but soon found the money. Zennia then heard someone come into the building it turned out to be the owner and his cat of a near by successful neighboring business, who heard the commotion and ended up calling the police.  Zennia dropped her hotdog and placed an envelope down with her stained fingers.
