So when I turned nine I started playing tournaments so fast forward to 2018 the biggest tournament in all of Texas was coming up. I knew if I wanted to be the best I had to practice hard to win this tournament. So four the four months of preparation I would play tennis 5 hours a day working on my footwork technique and my mental strength. I didn't end up winning that tournament but I defiantly got better and ended up winning other tournaments

How does this Relate to theme?
This relates to theme because it shows that I put in the effort to win, I didn't immediately succeed but soon later did.

Going into the competition I wasn't the fastest kid, so instead of admitting defeat, I would go out every day to run miles around the track. This helped me improve my endurance and speed. As a result of the dedication and hard work I would always do good in competitions

This relates to the theme because it also shows the hard work I put in and ended up being sucsessful
