These students were focusing on researching regions of the United States in the role of a geographer. In this particular part of the project, students were exploring the Midwest region and were guided to look at Illinois through the lens of economy, geography, political science and history. Active Learning is when students take responsibility for their learning and engage through engaging, experiential, and mindful activities. Integrating this presentation with other sites such as Padlet would allow students to publish their websites and Thinglinks into a centered area where other students can give feedback on their projects. A benefit from Active Learning can involve how students collaborate with one another with the technology available to them.
