Proclamation of 1763

The proclamation of 1763 was a line that prohibited Native Americans from settling on lands that the French owned after the French and War. The British made the rule. This is important because it is unfair to the Native Americans since they claimed this land first.

Boston Tea Party (1773)

The Boston tea party happened after the Colonist were agree and the British for taxing them on tea. As a result of that they threw tea into the river in Boston, millions of dollars in tea. This is important because not only are they protesting but went over the top by waiting millions.

Coercive Acts (1774)

The Coercive Acts other known as the Intolerable acts were mad to tax the colonist at several different points. The reason of this was because the British didn't have much money left after waisting it all on the French and Indian war. So they had to find a solution to get more money and that was to tax the colonist. This is important because not only did they start a giant war because of this but after the war ended the British did not own the Americas.

First Continental Congress( 1774)

The first Continental Congress took place for the reason of the British taxing the Colonist. All the 12 colonies not including Georgia decided to send a letter to King George the III and ask him to give us the power or we are going to keep going to start a war. This is important because what King George said back made them want to start a the revolutionary war.

The Declaration of Independence was a document signed by the president to present on the fact that all men should be equal and give them the rights of life, liberty, and happiness. That is the reason for the government. This is important because the government are very important people now and will always be.

Articles of Confederation (1777)

The Articles of Confederation was a agreement between the 13 colonies. That decided on the first government system on November 15th, 1777. This is important because you need a government in every country.

Constitutional Convention (1787)

The Constitutional Convention was met in Philadelphia between May and September 1787. They needed to address the problems of the week central government system that was made the the Articles of Confederation. This was important because if they did not fix it the whole Country could fall apart.

Bill of Rights (1789)

The Bill of Rights was the first ten amendments made for the United States Constitution. They were made by James Maddison to support the house of Congress. He made it so you didn't have to change the government system. This is important because not only did you not have to change all the Articles of Confederation but he made it better for the states.

Boston Massacre (1770)

The Boston Massacre took place in Boston, while 9 soldiers got shot by a crowd who were harassing them and throwing things at them for not liking their opinions. This then started conflict between the colonist and the British. This is important because this was a tragic event that still has conflict during this day.
